With Bolden heading to UK, the 40-0 talk has started. Yes, it has AGAIN. And they actually believe it will happen. I just, don't, get it.

Do we have any way of meeting them early next year to ruin their crackhead dream?

Lol I actually just finished reading through the thread on corrupt rafters. Some of the comments are just laughable. I figured that talk would start up soon. They always believe 40-0. :rolleyes:

This was a post in that thread and I instantly laughed. lol

"I do think the NCAA owes us as well, as we should get to play our first few tourney games in Lexington, maybe not at Rupp, but nearby like UNC is getting to do, and often in the past has been allowed for Duke."

What's even more hilarious is that there is no other arena in Lexington that can hold that many fans. He must be wanting to play the tournament games in Lexington at a high school gymnasium or Transylvania university's(another university in Lexington) campus. Lol!

Without upperclassmen on these squads, I just feel like if they can't win on talent alone UK will fold down the stretch. Sometimes it's the intangible of having a senior who just doesn't want to lose in conjunction with other players who don't want to see that senior lose. Obviously I think to 2001, 2010, and 2015 when you had Battier, Zoubs/Scheyer/Thomas, and Cook. I'd imagine that intangible can make a little bit of difference

First, I have not seen too many, if any Duke fans talking about an undefeated season. Maybe if Duke played in the SEC, we might see more but not in the ACC. That talk quickly goes by the wayside.

Second, the last time they talked 40-0 (and they darn near did it) it turned out well for the Duke program and the fans. : )

I saw one guy say it. I don't really mind when people say it though. What do other teams shoot for? Yay lets go 32-8. lets rock. Try for it is what I say. Somebody will do it sometime again. Who knows when but why try for less?

I'm not in the 40-0 crowd and neither is 99% of the mature fans. But, do you realize that UK will have 2 Srs next year and maybe 3. Not the quality of Duke returnee, but played many mins with several starts, also look for 2 Fr to return who played a bit.

Willis, Hawkins and possible Lee as SRs
Briscoe, Mathews,& Humphries as Sophs........5/6 players with experience.

Lee is a goner, possibly Briscoe. I hear you on the strive for perfection angle, but there's more than one over there who believe it'll actually happen....

I hear that Lee can. (I don't know)
Also, Cal was quoted saying one player had come to him and said if he was not projected 1st round, he was coming back. Many think that's Briscoe.....some hope it's Ulis.
The Lee deal is some thinking he would get minimum time with the big FR class coming in and think (want him) to be a grad transfer.

Probably Murray, Skal L and Ulis are 1st round and gone.. One Sr POY. and one walk on to give back scollie. None available for Bolden unless.................whatever...

Pretty sure Lee is gone, Briscoe is iffy.

Yeah I figured Skal, Murrary, and Ulis were gone; Poythress graduates, and Lee may do the same. Briscoe to me was the wild card in terms of who might come back

I have heard rumblings that Lee is due to graduate this year (3 years) and he could possibly be looking to go the grad transfer route back home (UCLA, USC, or CAL) anyone know any truth to this??? He would definitely see more playing time at any of those programs. He also has an interest in being a professional volleyball player, and I would assume the exposure on the west coast is much better suited for that.
Bolden would play over Lee anyway, so not sure if this will influence Bolden at all.

Bolden would play over Lee anyway, so not sure if this will influence Bolden at all.

Lee will not influence Bolden, but we will need a scollie for Bolden.......Lee, Brisco, Mulder??

At any rate, Briscoe and seniors Willis and Hawkins will complement the Fr very well, even if we start 5 FRs. The 2 big guys from down under could help inside.
Might be a slow start.......but it's how you finish,....right?

One thing for sure, if we have 5 FR or 6, don't think all 6 are will live up to the hype.

Seriously, many questioned Cal 38/40 min per game for Ulis and Murray during the last 2 months. Really don't know if it was an issue at the end.
It's always a difficult schedule if you're not a lot better...(Which UK wasn't this year..on the road)

Briscoe won't, Skal will. At any rate we have rides at this time for the 5 already signed.(no more)
IMO, the only exceptions is what Lee may do and if Mulder is ok with zero clock. No rumors out there (yet) as if a ride will open.

When you have 10x the fans duke or any other school has what do u expect? Sure there's a 1%
