I got 220 on UK as well.. I liked it at 7 but when it dropped a half point I threw more down than I normally would

Think it will be one of the easier covers in the first week.

IMO lots of bettors are undervaluing UK, as well as overvaluing SoMiss.

If it stays under 7 I will add more before kickoff

I guess those silly Las Vegas odds makers think that just because So. Miss has a QB that threw for over 4,000 yds and had 37 TDs and that we're starting a QB that last year had a 50% completion rate for the year that we should win pretty easily. Actually, I think you're going to win OP. The biggest reason is that Shannon Dawson is on their side line and Eddie Gran is on ours.

The people that bet on college football games better cash in while it's there. The first two weeks of the college football season is the only time you have a chance to actually make money from gambling. After the first two weeks, keep your money and don't throw it away.

I have no idea even how to start. Suggestions?

I use www.5dimes.eu

It's -7 on there, but I bought half a point. Risking 247 to win 225 I believe it was.

Either way, like another guy said the first two weeks are where you can make your money. I'll be cashing out after this game.

Have you used that site much? How do you like it?

I've use it for a couple years now. It's not bad. Seems like their spreads are always half a point to a point higher or lower than Vegas.

Don't know if you ever gambled consistently, but personally, I do not agree with your assessment. I've been gambling o college football for 35 years. Usually for me, the first two weeks are moderate bets. Over the years, I have won more in the last month, than at any time during the season. Don't like making bets 2 weeks before the first game. 2 or 3 injuries can be devastating. Just what works for me.

I think -6.5 at home against Southern Miss is a great bet. What games are you betting on at the end of the year? The window gets tighter and tighter week to week IMO. All teams are unknown at the start of the season, and it's all (the spread) a guess. By the end of the year, it's a Science.

That works both ways, what if their QB gets banged up early, even if it is for only one game.

Maybe I should quit the casinos and use your bookie, when I bet $25o (and win) I usually get paid $225, its is called the vig, how they make their money, take it from the winner so they don't miss it.

So if you paid to buy a point how do you get paid $227?

Three lines I'm betting the house on week one.

UK -6.5
Clemson -7 at auburn
USCjr / Vandy under

I really like your bets.

I just wish there was a sure thing in betting.

Perhaps you should exempt your doghouse from the bet, with a parking place in front------if you still have your car.

It sure does add a lot of interest to the games though, sometimes you are biting your lip, and then other times you have to replace your TV------with a cheaper model.

I mean it's all based on how they have it set up. UK and Southern miss are set to -110. You're risking 250 to win 250 in that case. I
May be a couple dollars off I'd have to go look. In my case I bought half a point, so I'm risking more to win less.

In either case (early or late) you are handicapping the game against a specific spread that theoretically makes the outcome a 50/50 proposition. I do think the likelihood of a flat out bad line is greater early than late but likewise there is less for YOU to base your decision on. That is to say, for whatever reason, Team X does not turn out to be as good as you think they will be and Team Y is a lot better than you thought.

If "unsure" of their line, some books will issue a limited bet line to their known wise guys before the line goes "public". If they put a line out there and 20 of 25 smart bettors come in the same way they know they have a bad line.
