Game one between the Cats and the Crimson Tide. First pitch was pushed back from 6:30 to 7. It was a good call as heavy rain is rolling through the area right now. Not sure if the game will actually start at 7 or not.

Cats get a leadoff single from Storm Wilson, but White lined out on a bunt and Shelby and McNeill both flew out to centerfield.

Rally brewing for UK. Cottam led off with a single and Wilson dropped down a good bunt that forced a bad throw by the Alabama 3B. Runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs for White.

White struck out swinging on a ball in the dirt, but the ball kicked away from the catcher and allowed White to reach first. Cottam scored on the play. Then, Shelby doubled down the left field line to score the two runners. UK leads 3-2.

BOOM. helluva win on a night when the bats weren't working much. Also, these Friday SEC pitchers are tough, that guy as unhittable for about 5 innings. Great way to start the weekend.

Good win tonight for the Big Blue. 1st time we have won the Friday game, hope we can take the series tomorrow with Dustin Beggs going. I was at a dinner show this evening but caught updates periodically via my phone. Great job by Zack Brown, glad he got off the snide !

Excellent win. Maybe this was Brown's bounce back game. He will need to be really good next weekend.
