We're not down because of missing two key starters. At one point in the first half we were looking to blow the game wide open. It's Pope's obsession with substitutions. He reminds me of former Reds coach David Bell and HIS double-switches late in every game. He's also got guys who are currently playing who have psychological blocks. Amari backing man down and then passes when he could score. Otega driving to hoop and regardless of traffic refuses to pass.

I'm sorry but u can't play the same 5 guys 40 mins. Hence missing 2 starters is the issue.

I'm not able to physically watch the game, so I don't know if this has changed at all, but one of the dumbest things I've seen is that banner or whatever it is in Alabama's gym that says "TRADITION." Tradition of what? Mediocrity? Doing OK in a historically mediocre conference? I could see if they had some all time greats like Shaq or Pistol Pete, but...

Kentucky football: TRADITION.

There are bigger things to think about here, but I always wonder about that.
Good question

Cats better come out for the 2nd half the same way they started the game or this could get ugly

Not having Carr on the floor for 3/4 of a half killed us. I'm sure the refs didn't mean to sit out best player in the game or anything. Kind of like when we go to North Carolina and have our entire starting line up sitting on the pine. Whatever it takes I guess.

They have 7 offensive boards out of 19 opportunities, ~37%

We have 5 offensive boards out of 21 opportunities, ~24%

Overall, they’ve taken 2 more shots

Owehs got to know when to go with and when to dish it off. Most of the time you are going to miss taking it up on a bigger man.

Oweh, who is one of our best players is channeling Archie Goodwin tonight. Not gonna win with that happening.

Refs are clever, they know how to balance calls with non shooting fouls vs shooting fouls
