Down 6 on the free throw line, miss it, give up a three and then refs blow a foul call against bama that leads to 3 point play, ball game. All because of a missed free throw.
Nobody said anything about firing Pope. UK has been losing a lot over these last few years, and it can be exhausting. It's mostly Cal's fault here. But it's sad fans of arguably the greatest college basketball program have to be "lucky" to be in this spot.

I agree with you but we had the hyperbole from last summer from Pope about Perry's shooting.
I hope he gets straightened out, but it’s not just today. He’s hasn’t shot well at all this year.
Why would they? These refs will get raises. They are doing as told. The sooner you accept that the better. Gambling is king. Games aren’t fair.
We play well and play hard for a while then make 3-4 careless turnovers in a 3 minute stretch. Guess that is because we don’t have Butler available. Williams and Brea and Oweh tonight have all dribbled way too much because we can’t penetrate with a point guard.
Are we supposed to be great in Popes first year and a ton of injuries?

Seems like he ends up with the ball in his hands at the end of the shot clock ... he has had to to take several shots he didnt want .. not his fault really

Yeah, I don't know where he got the whole fire Pope thing. That's just stupid. But it's fair to say that losing gets tiring, regardless of the circumstances. There's nothing wrong with that, and it sure as hell doesn't mean people want Pope fired.

This is an odd game. We have more offensive rebounds than Bama and have forced more turnovers but we are losing substantially. If you told me that would be the case before the game, I would have expected us to be winning.

LOL, refs trying to even up calls by calling fouls that don't impact the play. Garrison gets the ball and they blow the whistle. Bad ft shooter.
