We do play in a very elite conference. The goal should be to host a regional. That looks like a huge mountain to climb where we sit today. We will be OK. Need to win the next one.

We have to find an effective closer! I was hoping Belanger and Ming would develop some pitching , to offset our hitting. My opinion is as bad as the weather has been , it’s affected our pitching in practice and getting warmed up properly.

Mach might be effective for 3 outs but not 6. He was great in the 6th.

‪Cats still have life after Ben Aklinski hits two-out, two-run HR. Trail 4-3 now. ‬

Horrible loss for UK. I guess one could say that we stole one on Friday so we're even, but tough way to lose.

Obviously need improved pitching, to get where we want to be. I hope it’s weather related, and not the quality of our pitchers.

Law...pitching today was great! This game was lost in the first inning... You get all those men on base and you only get one run and it is on a walk. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why on Earth you would sacrifice a .375 hitter to advance a guy to second base in the bottom of the first inning... You just gave away an out

My point is with 1 out , leading 1-0, where pitching had kept you in the game, normally your best reliever should be able to close it out. He didn’t, we lose, and all the bad weather we’ve had, is not conducive to productive practices or developing your pitching outside in game conditions. That’s all, I think part of our lull is due to our crappy Kentucky weather, or some other excuse .

UK is just not quite as good as it was being hyped to be after the games in Houston. Pitching has been disappointing overall, have had some bad breaks with injuries at times, and while maybe better than expected offensively overall, the Cats strike out too much and some of the betters have been struggling in SEC play thus far.

This windup for Burns is silly. He takes a long pause and even double clutches before coming home.

By this I mean that he raises the leg and holds it for a count or two and even once lowered the leg a little and raised it again before coming home.

Becker fighting hard here. He's got a 2 out full count and Burns is up around 20 pitches.

I really don't understand why Becker and Johnson are 4 and 5...?

Strikeout ends the top of the second. I'd like to see which inning Lewis had thrown the most pitches good season...I can almost guarantee its the second.

He's actually done a great job keeping damage limited, but he seems to always struggle in one of the first two innings and it gets his pitch count up.

Collett hits a strong one to first for out one. Cottam singles to third. Infield single on a great dig by the Auburn third baseman.
