Aklinski draws a walk but otherwise UK goes quietly.
On another note, I think camo baseball hats look silly. Ok to wear them as a tribute (which Bama may be doing?) but making them a regular thing irks me.

UK got the first two on with a single and then an error on a double play ball. Collett tries to bunt then over (WHY!?!?!) and Cottam strikes out before Dawson bloops one to center for an RBI single!!

Cats jump out in front of Bama tonight in Game 1 of weekend series. Dawson with RBI single in T2.
Bama pitcher is throwing a lot of pitches that look great to hit. Helps he gets the extended strikeout on Cottam and the 3 bunt out on Collett

Bang, bang.. great slide umpire was right on top of it.. called him out.. immediate reaction by 3rd base coach.. but looked like a fair call to me.
Probably. Camera angle was not particularly conclusive. Being overly aggressive on the base paths costs UK yet again. Johnson nails one to right but RF had him played right and hauls it in on the track.
Really being lackadaisical... seems like he gets the corner pitch every other pitch when he misses he gives in with one right down the middle

Bama pitcher seems to have two pitches-- curve/fast.. surprised UK has not been getting more on the board.
Cats get 2-out singles from Cottam and Dawson but Pompey grounds out to first to end the threat in the top of the fourth.
Ground out to first. Top of the lineup seems like they are struggling.

This is a game we have to have. We should sweep Bama but we certainly can't lose the series. Losing today would be a terrible start. Of course, it's still somewhat early, but it kind of feels like one of those games.
