Evaluating for your needs in filling the gaps at BYU and in the Big 12, vs. evaluating how to replace an entire roster at Kentucky, are 2 VERY different things.
He was recruiting kids he could get into school at BYU (given the admissions and faith requirements) and who fit the roster he already had.
Having to start from scratch and build an entire roster from nothing is arguably the most difficult thing in coaching.
Hard to believe someone could think those are similar situations. Don't undersell what this staff accomplished.
Trouble is, most of those guys can’t make the shot. Guys that can get their own shot AND make it, are mostly going to the nba. You realize that scoring points wasn’t exactly our problem right? You realize we had one of the best offenses in the country, right?

Money talks and it seems like they want to spend now. We should absolutely have as much NIL as just about anyone though, whether we get it from boosters, ticket revenue, or TV money we should make it happen. This is a Kentucky and we should get the best players available!
I agree we need 2 PF. Also we need at least one PG, one Center, and 2 SF.
You do realize that the best teams have guys who can create their own shot and make a basket when needed- you do realize scoring points during a game by a team and having a guy who can get his own shot and score when the game is on the line is a little different, you do realize that right
Again. We had one of the top offenses in the country. And played without our some of our top offensive players most of the season. How many points did we average ? And you think offense was a problem.

Yeah for sure and then you have the church tiding which seems like they are opening that up to help fund athletics now.

Name me who on this team you are going to give the ball to, down by one and tell them him to score and win the game- OO did it against Oklahoma shooting a left handed 3 footer going away from the basket but don't think we can count on that too many times- have heard numerous basketball guys state that we do not have a guy who can create his own shot on a regular basis
I'd take him in a role like Sestina in 2019-20. Need to land a big time PF in the portal.
