Just left the Corner Alley which is the Alumni host. Saw Goose there. Right now I see as many UK fans as any but, probably not more than others. Pretty evenly balanced at this point.

WSU has a fair few in their corner section. My thought is that most of those empty seats will be UK fans. I hope!Originally posted by Seth C:
Lots of empty seats for this first game so neither Notre Dame or Wichita St. brought a ton of fans.
No way and I was there, too. WV doesn't have much of a fanbase regardless of who they play. Kentucky fans will outnumber everyone 5 to 1.Originally posted by Kampus Korner:
I am concerned that for the first time this year Big Blue Nation may be outnumbered by WVA fans. I was in Syracuse in 2010 and they outnumbered us in that Elite 8 game. They took over Columbus in the first two rounds. I hope we have enough Big Blue fans in reserve who still have some money left to travel to Cleveland. As of this morning the game was not a sell out.
No, they are Shocker fans. They are cheering when WSU gets a rebound and you can see Greg Marshall's wife just behind the bench.Originally posted by NineSec95:
The yellow in the corner is ND fans. If they stay and cheer against us we could be out number 3 to1.
Ok. Bad.Originally posted by EnglandWildcat:

No worries. But you're right about us being outnumbered. We will have a plurality of fans, but won't have the majority. Hopefully the fans of whoever loses will leave and the remaining crowd will be about 50% UKOriginally posted by NineSec95:

I hope I'm wrong England but this makes me feel better.Originally posted by Rupp94:
Sitting in the middle of the Wichita State section. No advantage for Blue tonight. I'll try and get a picture for you all a few minutes before our game.
Wave to us! Cheer your lungs out for those of us who can't be there!!Originally posted by Rupp94:

We do usually have the upper sections though, which you can't see on TV. Hoping that's the case anyway...Originally posted by crazyqx83:
On the TV, it looks like we have the least amount of fans there.
Like I said way earlier in the thread, we will be lucky to have an equal amount of fans at this game. There was no way we were going to dominate it. Just too many things against us in this one.Originally posted by crazyqx83:

So it will basically be 3:1 cheering against us...Originally posted by OFWGKTA:
Talking to people at the game - about an even split between the 4 teams .
No they will definitely cheer against us...Originally posted by JonathanW:
Whoever loses the first game, probably won't cheer for or against us, and will just watch the game for its entertainment.
A lot of it depends on where the broadcasting team places the mics.Originally posted by mcwildcats04:
Is it just me or does the crowd not seem overwhelmingly loud in the WSU/ND game? Is it a function of being in a more open pro arena?
Yeah I heard the boos over power any cheers!Originally posted by Seth C:
When they just flashed the team up on the screen a second ago it sounded like there were more boos than cheers. We definitely didn't takeover Cleveland.
It's a function of microphone placement. If there is no one there for one team, the put a mic in front of the few that are. They pump or down the volume as the game goes. TV makes TV.Originally posted by mcwildcats04:
