After Saturday's win over South Carolina, the Kentucky Wildcats football program has found themselves back in the hunt for a bowl bid. According to ESPN's Brett McMurphy, the Wildcats are on pace to meet Wake Forest in the Camping World Independence Bowl, which is played in Shreveport, Louisiana on Dec. 26 at 5 PM ET.

ESPN's Mark Schlabach does not have Kentucky making a bowl appearance. The team has never played in the Independence Bowl. Mark Stoops' program must go 4-4 over their final eight games. Four of those opponents (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisville) are ranked. They must also play Mississippi State, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Austin Peay. The loss to Southern Mississippi could loom large.

6. Anything less then he deserves the axe that he's not going to get due to insane buyout agreement. But with less than 6 if the buyout weren't a thing then we'd have no choice but to ditch Mark. Kind of how we did Phillips but we only have him m 3 seasons and he had one 6 win season during that span. Yet for some reason, even though stoops is losing with a million times better facilities than before (what joker had) in turn being the biggest factor as far as us getting good recruits go. And after 4 seasons without having reached 6 wins (most likely scenario) he's going to get a 5th. His leash is apparently a million times longer than joker's. With the top notch facilities leading to us getting great recruits that any coach here with these facilities would get and to get a 5th season with these things after having never won 6 games is just ridiculous when you compare to Phillips who had no facilities or anything to work with.
