The only part of Pope's offense they run is dribble handoffs with weak cuts. They are dying to go one on one and they aren't good enough.

Holy ****. Go to bed you miserable bastards! This board in full meltdown.
My man, at this point we would have to play twice as good in the second half just to lose respectably. No one is melting down. This is a game thread, and we have sucked this game. No reason to pretend otherwise.

Wait, sorry. “We’ve got this! Without our glue guy and starting point guard we can easily come back in the second half! Rah rah rah!” Do you feel better now?

Teams have found the formula to embarrass us defensively. Just have to smother the perimeter, watch our bigs choke, then box out a ghost player for the rebound.

Carr didn't even leave his feet to try and get that rebound. Lazy.
So weak. He's way too passive. I'm so tired of his 3-point shot fake and drive to the basket, only to clank a weak*** baby hook. It's constant. Shoot the F****** BALL!!!

Well... maybe this truly is a rebuilding year. Butler being out is a HUGE difference in this game, but if our guys can't hit layups, defend, or rebound, we're not gonna win many games.

Problem is other than maybe Garrison, you only get back the 3 little used freshmen.

And shockingly, you actually need high level talent to consistently win at high levels. You need experience but also need talent.

Need somebody on the floor that wants to be the guy. Everybody is waiting for somebody else. They can play better than this. But there's no fire.

Id roll with Garrison, Oweh, and Butler the rest of the year. The only three player remotely athletic enough to play. Then let the others decide if they want to play or sit the bench.

Oh to the contrary, this is a meltdown lol. Seriously tho, what did we expect tonight. Especially learning Butler was out.

Bunch of dam babies on here. Anybody that has a lick of sense new this wasn't going to be a top 5-10 team all year. A team pieced together with mid level talent at best. Give the man time to get some high level players in here.

Yeah it's been negative here but for the most part it's about this specific game, this specific season.

I don't think anyone here won't give Pope time to get his players in here.

Butler's loss is huge. He is a superior defender to Kriisa and is one of our very few playmakers.

The 2 big holes offensively on our team is the lack of a second multidimensional guard/wing and a 5 that fits what Pope is looking for on O. Robinson, Brea, and Oweh are all score first guards without much ability to set up teammates and are mediocre secondary ball handlers. Garrison and Williams don't seem fit to handle the pressure Pope's system puts on them from the perimeter. We often look like we are playing a crappy guard at the 5 as they fumble trying to dribble or pass while under a modicum of defensive pressure.

I understand that but I also want a team that at least plays with some damn heart you preach it than it needs to be played that way. The last several games the HEART has been no where to be found!

Why are we all so mad? We wanted Cal gone, he is. That left our incoming coach the impossible task of cobbling together a decent team. We have one.

We are going to win big and lose big this year. We're also going to make the tournament and maybe make the sweet 16. This year is a gift. How about we just support the team and Pope and stop acting like entitled imbeciles....starting with me.

I caught myself screaming at the TV. How ridiculous of me. Im just gonna chill and enjoy the highs and lows of our 1st season without CCC screwing us in a decade.
