I’m gonna point out the obvious but the O will look smoother when Lowe is back…yeah I know im Captain Obvious

we’re fine. Cam and the energy was my problem. I don’t expect these guys to come out of the gate on all cylinders without their PG and best big man, with a rusty aberdeen to start..

Pope is telling the truth you could see they weren’t synced up offensively. Probably the reason for the standing around. There were times there were 5 guys on the court and 4 have never played for pope and not one played with anyone else on the court. You will not look well adjusted to offense when very few know exactly what to do and definitely don’t know what the man next to them is gonna do. And they still showed flashes of what they will be.

people continue to talk about those exhibitions. They are not real games. We don’t know what painter pope were doing. They are throw aways. Wish people could understand this.

I mean just having DA on the court makes this team different…the Georgetown game and the start of this game was like watching walk ons trying to run O then soon as DA came in the O started to have some rhythm. Just imagine when Lowe get backs and starts his play making ways plus everyone will be back to their natural positions.

I am legitimately worried about Cam. If he doesn’t get up to speed and start hitting, that will be a major problem. Other than that, I’ll freak out when we have our entire team out there and look like that first half - middle of SEC play.

Need Lowe to get some court time before Lil bro game

I admit, when Noah went down, I said to cart his *** off to rest his p**sy too then. Just really tired of the injuries at this point. I was taught sports by the boomers tho.

Noah my boy. I didn’t mean a word of it. I remember telling several talking about Perry that Noah would be way better. You could see in high school he had a nose for the ball. I wouldn’t trade him for Perry if you also gave me Kareem.

Well maybe if I got Kareem

Youre kind of answering your own concerns though. Of course this team will improve. Every year UK improves unless theres a major injury.

I think beating a Kenpom 160th team by 26, down a few players, down our most important player (starting point guard).. I dont really think I can expect much more. Now if they play like this in january, thats a problem. But I see no reason to think that
I fully expect them to get better. My concern stems from not seeing the tools needed to be a legitimate title contender. They don't pass the eye test on the court. If Lowe and JQ ever get on the court and turn out to be elite world beaters, then perhaps the complexion of the team changes, but I don't know if it's fair to expect such an impact.

Man, he’s still so young. He’s gonna be a straight leader ballin his *** off. Pope knows what he’s doing. He’s retaining guys and building real teams. We haven’t even got started.
I think so as well but I wanna see us compete in the meantime. Which we did last year, I just hope this team eventually lives up to expectations.

I thought after watching us beat Purdue that we had improved since last you with being more physical, blocking out and rebounding but after watching the last 2 games we haven’t. I sure hope they pull it together!
I think we rebound a little better overall, we are fairly physical but we still have guys who get straight owned on line drives for whatever reason.

Me too, Kam does not look very good so far. Defensively he is lost and he only had maybe two good offensive possessions tonight, he isn’t making much impact on the offensive end.

Watching his dunk tonight, you can easily see why the NBA is all over him. That dunk was effortless and he is so long, he could have kept going up. I see the allure and why Mark wanted him. But we need him to be a stud, not an okay guy. IMO anyway.
I’m hoping he is just adjusting to playing better teams, tonight withstanding and that the new offense and system he hasn’t gotten yet. Hopefully he gets more comfortable over the year like Chandler did last year.
