I watched the last ten minutes. Really proud of UK basketball right now. Both teams made a bunch of Cooper Flag last ten seconds of a game mistakes. (we should now call end of game turn-overs a Flagg) But Brook's mature xfers pulled the game out. Brooks didn't substitute the last ten minutes and his go to five were: A blonde 6'5 center he brought from tech who could NIL as a model.. A veteran PG who isn't fast but can shoot that he also brought from Tech. a six foot skinny athlete shot blocker. A gritty xfer from division two who's a glue gal who also looks 6 feet.. and a short athlete shooting guard who doesn't shoot that much. Blonde center and the pg put up most of shots.

Hey stoops move down the bench POPE and BROOKS are on 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
I swear, it shows if you make a good hire the program can get better pretty quick now too. Indiana was smart to lock up their coach Yesterday. I would have loved to see what he could do here. I mean he’s only done it one year but he’s been a winner wherever he’s been and they look really good. Coach Brooks got an AA commit and then a win over Louisville who has had a great women’s program for awhile now.

UK women almost choked it away late in regulation by not even taking a shot in 3 straight trips down the floor while leading by 2 points. We’re lucky UL was also making errors and missing shots. As bad as they were on offense, our UK women blocked several shots late in the game and were strong rebounding the ball. It is nice to have some height for a change.
Brooks needs to install a keep-away offense that involves more than Amoore ( sp.) trying to dribble by herself against 5 defenders as she had several turnovers. Good win, though against a rival team.

Great win LadyCats, I noticed in one of the write ups Jeff Walz said we gave the game away, lol. Every time we play a Louisville team no matter what sport and we win, their coach will say something like that. They are so eat up with envy and jealousy they can’t ever just say, we got our *** beat. They will alway play second fiddle to UK in this state, always.

With NIL and the new transfer rules, it’s a lot easier to turn a basketball team completely around in one season. Way easier than it used to be. It helps shave a couple or three years off rebuilding a football program as well.
