I heard Vanetti on the radio a week or so ago, and he said that we'd be lucky to win 4...
He said that our defense sucked last year and we lost a bunch from that unit.
At first I was kinda down because he has a point, but then I realized it may be addition by subtraction.
Either way, our young talent had better be strong this year or we're gonna give up 35 points a game!
I'd say that 4 wins is a given though so your money is safe.
Tony Vanetti is the LAST person alive you should listen too.
About anything.
It took late miracles to beat EKU.Uk upsets Southern Miss?? Now i hate this word but that is a "troll" remark if i ever heard one...that is no upset...we pound that bunch.
does welfare pay that well...:cool2::cool2:A UL fan has 100$?

Sounds like a fair bet. If uk upsets Southern Miss then four is possible. If uk loses that game just go on and say double or nothing on the basketball game.
If the players replacing the guys from last year are that much better, more athletic and talented why weren't they playing last year?First of all, I don't think there is a lot of difference in our talent levels. The main difference is they have allowed guys to transfer to them who were already experienced after they were dismissed from their previous school for a variety of reasons (I'm glad we don't do that). Secondly, I don't think our defense was the reason we didn't do as well as we did! Between dropped balls by the WRs and a lack of positive play calling by the OC, I think our offense or lack of offense cost us three maybe four games! Typically, by the end of those games, our defense was sucking air and, therefore, was ineffective. For example, I don't think Jackson does what he did against us if he had been playing against a fresher UK defense. Thirdly, a more efficient UK offense would have kept Jackson off the field and, thus, would not have been as effective. Fourthly, for the players we lost on defense, they have been replaced by better, more athletic, more talented players even though they may be less experienced. There is no replacement for talent. I don't care how experienced a player is. Besides, as far as Louisville fans are concerned (even Vanetti), that's more wishful thinking on their part. I'm still glad Petrino is not our coach even with his recent success at Louisville. I still have friends who are Louisville graduates and /or Louisville fans who are still embarrassed that Louisville hired Petrino and they are disappointed with Jurich and his lack of integrity for hiring Petrino and allowed Pitino and Clint Hurtt to continue coaching at U of L. I still think we have a chance at beating Louisville this year. We should have won that game two years ago as well as last year's game. At any rate, I am really looking forward to football season!

And, Mr. Vanetti knows how to touch nerves of UK fans to boost his ratings.I like Vanetti...
He's about as cool a UofL fan as you'll find in this whole town, of course I'm biased because I've known him for years.
Youth (freshmen and sophomores becoming experienced sophomores and juniors), red shirts becoming eligible, transfers becoming eligible (i.e. Courtney Love, Greg Hart, De'Niro Laster), recruiting (consistent top thirty to forty recruiting classes over last four years), last players recruited by Joker Phillips graduating, etc. Need I go on?If the players replacing the guys from last year are that much better, more athletic and talented why weren't they playing last year?
Dave Jennings, Drew Deener, Howie Lindsay, etc...And, Mr. Vanetti knows how to touch nerves of UK fans to boost his ratings.

Those dudes are turds!
Vanetti ain't that bad.
Everything you mentioned gives a player experience. My post was about ability and talent. Maybe you misunderstood my question. Everybody agrees Joker wasn't recruiting SEC level talent and Coach Stoops has been. As awful as the defense looked at times. If Coach Stoops troops are superior Athletically and talent wise. How come they couldn't beat out Joker's guys?Youth (freshmen and sophomores becoming experienced sophomores and juniors), red shirts becoming eligible, transfers becoming eligible (i.e. Courtney Love, Greg Hart, De'Niro Laster), recruiting (consistent top thirty to forty recruiting classes over last four years), last players recruited by Joker Phillips graduating, etc. Need I go on?

1 guy. I'm just trying to figure out why UK's defense is going to be so much better because they lost so much off it from last year.Another idiotic statement from a UL fan troll.

Chris Westry took over Fred Tillers spot last year as a freshman
Seriously. You're probably the dumbest UL troll, I've ever seen.
