What’s becoming clear is none of the B10s best teams (minus UCLA this year) are anywhere near the elite teams. It’s why beating Mich and OsU and Nebraska and so on is great. But it tells us nothing about competing with those elite programs.

Iowa has the resources, apparently, to stay entrenched in that 2nd tier from a financial standpoint.

I guess I just don't understand after all these years of more and more girls playing basketball that the disparity is still so bad here. The fact that the 2 seed goes out and scores 41 pts is just embarassing. In all honesty it was a pretty down year for the B1G as the tourney proved. Pretty much UCLA and the rest of the league was just ok. And after watching UCLA plod through that Duke game I think Texas will pressure their guards all over the court and harass them so they won't be able to let Betts dominate.
