Looks he's fifth among returners in assists per game, and second among power conference guys (Monte Morris, Iowa State).

Am I wrong to expect Mac to be the leading scorer this season? He's a good, good player. I feel like he's had a February fade each of his first two seasons. I bet other teams' fans would hate him more if he were 3 inches shorter.

Mac is the best player not named Jon Shurna that I've seen play at NU since I've been following the basketball team 12ish years ago, dude's a baller and would see significant minutes at just about any school in the country

The fights that ended his career spoil memories of him, but Coble was so good. The game @MSU was like nothing I can remember in my time following NU (same as yours). So I'd take him over Mac right now, with the hope and expectation that Mac's accomplishments will surpass both him and Shurna.
