Honestly, who cares if they have two patches for businesses--it's a business and has been for decades. Might as well embrace it

Have no problem with it - it’s a business I’m a free market environment.

My question goes to these advertisers.

Does one single person ever buy anything because it’s a patch on a uniform or a hockey helmet?

Seriously, I just don’t get it. How about we make it so a normal family can actually attend an event once in a while.

I know it won’t happen but I do chuckle at the thought of people actually buying stuff because some team smacks it on their uniform.

Do people buy stuff because of patches on unis or helmets? Either they do or the companies that pay for the patches are complete morons for paying for patches.

The price of an event is unrelated to whether or not there are patches. They're not going to lower prices in response to adding patches. They're going to make prices as high as they can regardless of how many patches there are.

My question as a citizen of PA is, where's my cut in all this?

How about gambling sites and casinos? That would really *** to the general sense of corruption that has taken over college football.
How about not telling the public which patches will be on the unis before the game and then let the public bet with the casino on which patches the school chooses.

They ought to make the patches for the two teams playing be for products that go up against each other. So if one team has a Coke patch, the other team has to have a Pepsi patch. If one team has a Heinz ketchup patch, the other team has to have a Hunts ketchup patch.
