If I'm Andy Reid, I'm trying to match up Tyreek Hill against Richard Sherman as much as possible. He's been getting beat deeply lately. Sherman was blown by several times in the second half against the Packers. When the 49ers went zone a safety was always protecting Sherman deep.

If the Niners control the ball like they have been they'll be tough to beat. Jimmy G had 6 completions for 77 yards and they still put up 37 points.

Were you knowingly posting a tweet backing Cajun up?
I disagree with Revis here though. Why play straight man all the time if you can play cover 3 and not get punished for it because your d line dominates?

Zone allows you to defend against the run easier. You have set coverage areas, including the boundaries.

I don't know if that's why they're using it, but that's why we did.

That was exactly my thought. Teams play man when they blitz but the niners dont have to blitz with their 4 down guys. So id play zone all day.

Thinking back to our days playing Mahomes, keeping him under pressure was the key. I think the front 4 for 49ers provide enough pressure to allow the zone to do its job.
