OSU showed well for themselves. I haven’t seen Georgia’s defense worked like that since LSU with Burrow Chase and Jefferson.
Hope these playoff games showed Stoops that modern football needs points on the board. You gotta throw the football too!
That was an exciting game. You know when the SEC sends two teams to the playoffs they win and meet in the finals. When the Big Ten sends two teams they get eliminated in the semi's!!!
This is right … totally agree. But we don’t have the athletes to put on a display like both of those teams did tonight. I know we gave GA a pretty good game but they have another gear when they need it and Stoops will NEVER have the luxury of a large number of studs like that. We’re getting better than the olden days but we’re still an also-ran.
Do you think stoops doesn’t want to score? Trust me he’s like to score 50 a game. Georgia’s talent level is something we as Kentucky fans can’t even fathom. You can win with any style of football when you chocked full of talent and the execution is sound.
TCU also doesn’t have the stud players Michigan does and they managed to win. While some of its talent, some of it is scheme and coaching.

I think stoops loves to ugly up a game. He’s content winning 10-7 as long as he wins, the problem is you’re not going to beat good teams that way
Tcu has speed, and speed kills the B1G. That's why Osu dominates there. The fastest team in it. But yes, TCU had the scheme to use their speed.
But my God what a football game! When GA scored with 57 seconds on the clock I dreaded it. As for Osu's kicker, there might have been just a leetle pressure on the kid. I'm sure he feels as bad as you possibly can now.

At the game today. UK was down 21-0 in the third qtr. My buddy and l were watching the play clock and on every play in the last 2 qtrs and we were going thru at least 30-38 seconds of the play clock . This is the kind of stupid insanity this staff comes up with on offense. This insanity we deal with. Stoops is going to live and die with the
offensive philosophy!!@
I’m no OSU fan , but I feel bad for that kid . It'll haunt him the rest of his life .
I'm glad Georgia won because I have money on them winning the Championship, but to criticize a kid like this is ******. If Ohio State has fans like you, which I'm sure they do, he will get **** the rest of his life. A tough burden on a kid trying to win a game.
Was going to say something similar. All 4 teams scored 41 or more and three of them had top 15 defenses. We couldnt hit 41 against an FCS team with a supposed 1st round draft pick at QB. The one that didn't have a top defense still was top 5 in offense with similar to worse recruiting classes.
The type of offense you run can be an equalizer to playing superior talent. We unfortunately have a coach that just wants to burn clock and score as little as necessary to keep his defense off the field. We'll never win the SEC or get to the playoffs playing antiquated football with our level of players.

If UGA had not snapped the ball twice with tons of time on the play clock they would have gotten the ball with probably less than 20 seconds.
The OSU kicker is accurate but isn’t known for having a real strong leg. I think he tried too hard to put a little extra into the kick and that resulted in him shanking it.
Day went passive with his play calling once OSU got to the 30. They should have continued to be aggressive, with 2 timeouts. Also, not having Marvin Harrison Jr on the field certainly didn’t help.

Maybe once a year. The FCS game is the only one we could have won this season. That's if we didnt gift them a couple of Pick 6's. I'm guessing with only 10 points scored we probably would have some interceptions added to the game. Might have had a 2nd game that we won scoring 10 if what I said above didnt actually happen against Iowa.
Clemson did OSU a favor that season in 2019. That would have been back-to-back pile drives in OSU’s behind after Alabama in 2020. Happy they lost but disappointed in UGA for not going with the tradition of shoving a plastic toy stamped with the SEC logo up where the Good Lord split ‘em.
Perfect skills and game plan to challenge UGA. Getting time for CJ so he could backyard it to those great receivers played into UGA’s weaknesses. Great matchup and game plan to make for a classic playoff game.
