You say unsurprisingly but considering our past history on dealing with the NCAA I am pleasantly surprised we are contesting this.

Who knows but I still don’t know what the NCAA has proven. To hold universities accountable for 3rd parties proven in the court of law to have paid a player is ridiculous.

They should fight this one to the end.

I think we are putting up a strong fight and are NOT going to lay down and take it like we did last time. The last time we just said OK we essentially agree with your findings and self imposed punishment and hoped they would accept that and give us extra credit for cooperation. We see how that has gone for any program that does that.

I believe they are laying the foundation for a lawsuit if they try to hammer us again. We have laid out very valid legal arguments and sound logic. IF we get a fair hearing AND the NCAA goes by their new philosophy of not punishing current players and coaches who have nothing to do with the violations; we should get time served, credit for cleaning house, a few more years of probation and maybe some scholarship reductions. Hell in this case, no one involved is still here and we didn't benefit from any allegations.

I would show them two links, 1) the story about Texas A&M and their $31M NIL raised and 2) the story about Tennessee and their $8M NIL deal for a single 5* QB. Then, I'd ask them who really GAF about $5k over 4 years. If they say they GAF, then I'd tell them to pursue it in criminal courts and call it a day.
