Out of curiosity I looked up the salaries of other assistants. Not the most up to date list, but it gives us an idea of how big an investment this is.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of how much Jurich is paying Grantham, it shows that this little irrelevant school will pay these assistants to work here. If Grantham leaves next year, all the candidates will have this fact in mind. We're playing by all the big boy rules.

When you are a school that makes a ton of money before joining the ACC, get $15-20 million more a year for joining the ACC, and really care about winning, you do these things. It's a no brainer! You will continue to see Tom do these types of things because he loves winning and he can. Good lord UL is so lucky to have him. Just think, UL would be East Carolina right now if not for Tom Jurich. He is truly a legend!
