UofL vs UCF

UCF probably deserved to be ranked preseason. Big conference, bias, and tradition always distorts the early polls. They have a good program.

Louisville was not good last year and lost the players that were actually good. I didn't understand the optimism going into the year around here.

I'm interested to see what these guys bring the rest of the way. A little bit of good fortune early in the game is most definitely required. The sunshine pumpers are going to say this game could turn the season around. If the Cards do not compete I would blame nobody for throwing in the towel.

Agree, it is sad. Agree it's not surprising.

UCF by at least 2 TD’s. They have more talent and vastly superior coaching. Probably a better AD who knows how to take care of fans, too. F Tyra!

If Malik was a top level QB, the Cards would be a much better team. He just doesn't make enough good decisions and he's an average passer at best.

Our best teams had a top level QB and our average teams had a average QB. Imagine a Lefors running this offense? Or Teddy with all these receivers?

The play calling always looks bad when the QB looks indecisive and not confident throwing passes. Malik is playing not to fail. Not to turn the ball over.

I think Coach Satterfield is a good coach. He just needs to find that next great QB that Louisville football is known for. Malik Cunningham just isn't that QB.

I think some of the elementary play calling fans are complaining about may be because MC just hasn’t progressed. It’s all he can handle, unfortunately we haven’t recruited a top QB either.

We’ll, once again, just how do we go out and “get” a top QB to sign with us? Hold a gun on them?

Or get the bag man card blood wants? We’re under the ncaa microscope already.

This is the best balanced team you've faced and carries a continual chip on their shoulder.

I don't know but Satterfield should. So far, he's whiffed on recruiting a QB. Conley apparently isn't the guy.

Louisville football has a top 10 ranking in all polls for QB schools. I've seen them high as #5. Bridgewater to Lamar with Reggie Bonnafon in the middle. Malik is Reggie. Who's the next great QB?

I don’t know what to expect. Lots of smoke seemed to be blown up our arses pre-season, TD.

I'm more optimistic than most I suppose. I am disappointed that Cunningham hasn't shown more improvement from last season. We may see someone different as the season progresses. Our system is designed for a running QB and I'm not sure we have one. That is a major concern that I have.

GO CARDS!!!

Did you ever watch App St under satterfield? Same plays. Some might even say it’s his offensive philosophy - lol. I’d dare say Cunningham is as good if not better a QB that satterfield has ever had.

What in his background would give you the idea that he can find the next great QB? Or more importantly, sign AND KEEP HIM SIGNED?

No I haven’t watch any of his App St games, so I’ll take your word on that. That’s not good news not at all. So he’s orchestrating his own demise.

The bigger question is why would they want to play in his system? Which could be why he hasn’t landed a QB. Not sure how good Lewis is. Like to see him in a game.

Good questions - I’ve no idea why they’d want to play in that system. I’m not anywhere close to UofL recruiting but it certainly appears troubling that he’s had multiple QBs either decommit or, transfer out quickly.

Pretty sure Lewis isn’t playing QB anymore. He was recruited as an athlete but would get a look at QB.

I think this is right. He's listed as a QB on the UofL roster on the website but I'm almost certain he has switched positions meaning that Conley and a 6 foot, 2 star JUCO QB who had no offers out of high school or out of JUCO is our only two options at QB.
