We will be favored in 5 of the 6 games by 6 points or morehttp://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...le-college-basketball-toughest-6-game-stretch
7% chance to lose 0 games in this 6 game stretch, 64% chance to lose 2 or more games.
Those are some difficult odds to overcome!
And nc state looks like a dumpster fire right now as well. Sure its a tough schedule but i think its being overblown a tad.Unfortunately for VT, the Tech game became a lot easier for Duke with Justin Robinson out. He may be able to get back by then, but I think he’ll be fine until tourney time. They play 6 guys right now.
To me the key is the uva game. Its the toughest one of the bunch where we could play well and still lose. I dont think that is the case in the other 5Well, the upcoming schedule could be less daunting than it looked a week ago...
1) While I'm sure Ty Jerome is going to be playing this weekend, having him at anything less than 100% is a huge disadvantage for UVA against Duke. He's a bigger loss for them than losing Tre was for us....if only because they don't have the depth of stars to overcome it.
2) With no Justin Robinson in the lineup for VT, they're a rung down, as well. Their depth was questionable, at best, with Robinson in the lineup. Without him, they're playing six guys....and none of whom can substitute what JRob gives them.
3) NC State is the ultimate dumpster fire right now, or as we like to say....they're playing to their strengths. They have a chance to save their season tonight in Chapel Hill, or to start traveling down a dark road. I expect the latter.
The schedule is very tough going forward, even with a few of these things that might make it look more manageable.
And i dont see us losing to the cuse twice. They hit a million shots the first time around and then lousiville has very suspect point guard play.I just don't see this team losing another big time - bright lights game.
They seem to thrive under pressure. The mark of a true championship team. I could see the possibility of VA Tech upsetting us, but I doubt it.
Well, it’s time to get a true gauge of where our Blue Devils are with their toughest stretch of games in the ACC. I expect them to defeat NC State, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech. Virginia will be the toughest matchup IMO, @ Louisville is no easy task but I think our guys are too talented to lose to this Louisville team, also I believe our Blue Devils are 0-2 in their last two trips to Louisville. Unc is always a toss up because of the great rivalry, Duke is at home though and they do not have anyone to matchup with Zion and RJ. I’m hoping for 6-0, but would be content with 4-2 at the worst during this stretch. One thing is for sure, these 6 games will prepare our Blue Devils for the post season. Let’s Go Duke!!!!!!!
The only games that worry me during the upcoming 6 game stretch are @UVA because they’re just so dang good and @Syracuse only because they beat us in Cameron. As I’ve mentioned on here more than a few times I’ve got a buddy that’s a UNC fan and we’ve had a standing beer bet on every Duke/UNC game for over 10 years and when I saw him weekend before last he went ahead and bought me 2 beers because he doesn’t have any confidence in UNC beating us this year, now if they do happen to beat us then I’ll owe him 2 beers per game for thx win plus the beers he already bought me but I’m confident that our bet is already squared away. He’s getting to the point where he’s considering no longer being a UNC fan because of all the stuff that’s been going on at UNC i.e. the cheating and also all of the protests. His fiancé is an NC State fan and we bet a jager bomb on the Duke/NC State game. So if somehow we lose to both UNC and NC State, the next time I see them, my bar tab will get more expensive. lol
I can live with that.Fun fact: Duke isn't losing another game all year.
UVA -1.5 in the early line for Saturday. I think it’ll end up -1 or a pick em by Saturday.
I predict a Jones hitting a big shot to seal the game tomorrow night;
I'll "pick em" right now......Duke by 8!!!
The roof is the ceiling and the sky can’t get through the roof. We have some time still. When the floor is the ceiling, we’re screwed. The sky is falling. Only blind dummy doesn't believe that.
Come on, people and trolls.
Many of us, myself included, thought getting through the 8 game stretch with only two losses was a good outcome and realistic. That was before Zion went down. If Zion comes back Saturday, there is a really good chance the team finishes with 2 losses in this brutal stretch. Still a #1 seed. Possibly overall #1 if they win the ACCT.
The sky isn’t falling. Duke will be fine. Drink a beer, smoke a joint*, do yoga, meditate, or do all of the above. Reeeeelaaaaaxxxx. Someone que Aaron Rodgers.
*unless it’s illegal in your state. Then, don’t do that. We don’t need our fans in jail. Too many UNCheat supporters in jail. You’ll be outnumbered. We don’t know where PJ is...
My great-great-grandkids will have to tell me all about it in heaven.I honestly don't know what is going to happen when Duke finally (one of these days) does actually suck. And it will happen.
