Agree that all the trips to the train station without anyone really asking questions is unrealistic but at some point you have to get away from what is realistic and just enjoy being entertained. I like Rip's character but I have always enjoyed Kayce the most because he is like most Navy Seals who are "quiet badasses" but when they mean business you know it and he handles it with the worst kind of people in mind. IMO, Grimes is talented enough and Kayce's character has evolved enough to where he can carry the show now.

Everyone knew she was a dead woman walking. The timing was a shock. I think the company she hired off'd her.

That old lady for Market Equities is ruthless so she was clearly behind it.
If I recall correctly, he makes a MINT off the show by double dipping or triple dipping because they use his properties and his horses, which he charges or charged the original production company ... there's a breakdown of it in an article somewhere on the interwebs.
Some are suggesting on X that we shouldn't overlook John leaving the ranch to Tate, since he is part Native American ... and there's some foreshadowing from 1883 about getting the land back in the future.

Kayce said counting coup to grant and hit him and took part of his soul. Mo asked Kayce if he did the counting coup.
Could be wrong but I think itās now likely Grant and his company had Sarah killed to keep limit loose lips.

For example, at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, a Northern Cheyenne warrior and his friend counted coup on a soldier with their whips and grabbed his carbine. They didn't kill him because they didn't think it was particularly brave and they didn't want to waste bullets.

Yeah they could have spent 15 minutes and told that entire story. I mean why waste so much time on Beth trying to teach Teeter how to be a bitty at a bar? I mean does anyone think what this world needs is more Beth Dutton's?
The bad thing is that it was a rehash of a scene from the first or one of the first seasons.
Sheridan should be embarrassed.
A lot of people complained about how Sons of Anarchy went down hill in the last couple seasons.
The last season of SOA was Emmy worthy compared to this failed attempt to bring Yellowstone to a close.
There was some alluding to something big happening to throw a wrench into things at the end of last nights episode when Kayce was asking about that tax scenario. She's going to sell to somebody for $1. Either the Indians or somebody else within the family. Rip? who knows. Still not sure how the Jamie angle is going to play out.

Didn't quite understand the specatacle they had for the auction. Trying to save money, but have an open bar, magically book the Turnpike Troubadours, Bring in all these grandstands, etc. I guess some of that was needed, but at what cost?

Agree, last night's episode was a waste. At least 30 min of mostly nothing. Made zero sense being the next to last episode.
You think with the supposed finale next week theyād wouldāve had a better lead up episode. They really just put stuff together for that episode. It stunk. My expectations for next week arenāt high. Time to just end it.
I think that's exactly what Sheridan did, he just threw stuff together to get to the end and be done with it.
I really think there will be consequences for him in the aftermath.
Fans of the show(his most popular) know they've got the shaft in his half assed attempt at a final season.
I won't be surprised if Landman and the 6666 spinoff don't suffer because of fan backlash the way Costner's "Horizon" did.
I knew fans would reject Horizon.
People didn't want a new Costner western, they wanted him to finish what he started with Yellowstone.
Sheridan shouldn't get punished or Costner's arrogant a$$ leaving them all high and dry.
So he sells the land to Rainwater for $ 1 and they live on/carry on, on a big piece of it? I guess we'll find out.
Landman is NOT off to a very good start. BB carries it, but the contrivance is off the charts.
In Sheridan's universe, people are boiler plate/2 dimensional. He's just not a very good writer.

^ Agree with that. And as good as the ex-wife & daughter looks, their over-sexualization doesnāt add to the storyline imo regarding the oil business.

As for Yellowstone, the last episode was mostly fill-in but thereās some nice bread crumbs if you looked for them

It bothered the hell out of me that BB's lawyer said he couldn't work, because he's lusting after BB's daughter (a MINOR)
