Wanted to briefly drop an article we just released today on David Duke, an emerging guard out of the 2018 class. He noted that Northwestern was in pursuit, someone worth keeping tabs on moving ahead. A possible reclass into the 2017 class could occur, though he is more than likely to remain in the 2018 class.

As a side note, I am very excited to now be on board as a national analyst working alongside Eric Bossi. I hope that I can be of a resource for you all moving ahead.

He is actually supposed to be a senior at the moment. Kid developed quickly and was seen much more this past summer and on after reclassing into the 2018 class. This time last year, had zero offers. Hence, could easily jump back into 2017 academically.

In regards to sleeping on Northwestern, definitely not the case here! Have a ton of respect for how Chris Collins has gone about laying out the foundation at NW, both on the floor and on the recruiting front.

Thanks Corey and welcome to the team. I have said from day one that Duke has the tools to be really good at the next level. And he also appears to be a good fit as a student athlete. Just the kind of talent needed to go from top 20-30 status (about where Collins has the team now) to top 10-15 status.

Just FYI, the sleeping thing is a running joke/superstition around here.

Any recruiting news is very welcome, so thanks for that.

All jokes aside, can you imagine how annoying it will be if he DOES play for Duke and we have to hear about how the Duke on the front of his jersey is more important than the Duke on the back? Especially if Vitale and his ilk are insufferable about it, which you know they'll be.

It's a private school thing. Often, a kid who wants another year to develop his/her athletic game will stick around for a 2nd senior year. It's actually kind of crap and leads to a lot of problems when private schools play public schools (at least here in the VA area). It's gotten to the point where most public schools refuse to play privates.

Reminds me of the Baltimore Ravens play-by-play announcer Jerry Sandusky. Every week he has to explain he's not the Penn State serial pedophile...
