Anyone hear as to completion date ? Last I recall is that it was on schedule for September 10th completion....seven weeks and two days from now.http://www.soonersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=31000&ATCLID=211078891

I'll be curious to see how the kicking game will be affected by an enclosed bowl stadium...."where the wind comes sweeping down the plain".
Yep, freakin hot too.As far as heat goes, before renovations, the stadium heat was endothermic. With the south end now bowled in, it will now be exothermic.
Until OU plays Army at West Point in 2020 (if I'm still living)....my preference is to watch from home with a refrigerator and toilet nearby, replays and in a 72 degree environment. Plus I can swear like a sailor if the game goes south on me....then watch a movie.Yep, freakin hot too.
No, in all candor I couldn't consider attending a game before well into October.
That's just me though.

You're right LTS.There's not a chance in the world that's 'finished' before Sept 10th. A structure like that, at red iron, done in 50 days?! Give me a break.
It may look fairly nice and they will have fans in it for games, but they'll be finishing stuff and doing punchlists for months.
Oh that's right I forgot we still have unions these days!!!!You're right LTS.
This isn't the 1930s, like when they built the Empire State building in 54 days...
Oh no!
Now everything's slowed down with the insipid child labor laws, the galling trappings of everything being 'up to code'.
Not to mention all of the stifling, anal retentive safety regs, just so no one gets killed!
Geez, it's a miracle anything gets finished at all.
(to be clear, this is intended to be a humorous parody, hope it was taken in that spirit)
According to those in charge from OUAD and the contractor, all areas that will be fan accessible during games will be finished to include seating, suites, restrooms, and concessions. The player and coaches facilities will not be done until Feb 2017. The grand south entrance and plaza will not be open for Sept 10th.From the article above: "All fan areas are on schedule to be complete for the home opener vs. ULM on Sept. 10. "
Translation: it'll look good for the TV cameras, but don't go peeking in any doors.
