Trying to keep up with the whipper snappers and the general drift of the English language into the abyss of dumbassery it’s clearly headed for… with that in mind share updated terminology here if you would so I don’t have to go a’lookin’ fer it.

mine is … when did “showing off” become “showing out”? Or is this a regional usage I missed? In my background I understood showing off to be demonstrating all your ability for the watcher. It had a connotation of bragging. Showing out was misbehaving.

thanks. Please type in bold face large print so my out of date *** can read it, I guess.

“mid”
“sus” (I think this one is old & not used now)
“slaps” (usually in reference to a song or beat)
“vouch” (this one is my favorite)

Vouch hasn't made it to Central KY yet. What, pray tell, is that?

Somewhere along the way it has become acceptable to use “literally” to mean not literally.

“Yesterday I went bowling and rolled 6 consecutive strikes. I was literally on fire!”

Ummm…no, you were figuratively on fire.
