So you guys get Ross and we get Bo, Jax, and Mocco. Seems even to me. 🤞
He did appear dominating on that recent tape on another thread. He seemed so much taller and bigger than his opponents. He is so much quicker than his opponents where he seemed to be able to score at will. Great get by our staff. This could be the beginning of a great 2 days.

At 6'-3" and 215 pounds, he is the perfect size to grow into a full size heavy at about 250 and still retain his quickness.

Agree he definitely has that frame. He's built the same as Kueter was in high school. 6'3 212lbs

The only concerns I have seen people bring up with Ross is that he has already had shoulder issues this early in his career and the natural hump his back seems to have, but from a pure talent and athleticism point of view he looks like a surefire superstar at the next level
He’s got the potential to be an absolute freak!

He’s one of my favorite prospects that you should see jump multiple levels under the right tutelage.

Plott got to Stillwater with a bad shoulder, struggled his true freshman year and then got it cleaned up and voila. I would imagine if/when Ross redshirts they’ll address it early and let him get going from there. No offense to the medical establishment of Dodge, IA, but I would venture the orthopedists OSU has access to are some of the best

I believe it was done by a Dr in Iowa City who works on many athletes

Don't want to jinx you guys but this may be the best recruiting week for Cowboy wrestling in a long time in spite of not getting Bo. DT will have a strong team competing for a title year in and year out by 2030. All you need now is consistent production on the mat at nationals and the train will start rolling down the track.

It would be outstanding to steal 2nd from Iowa and everybody Wrestle past seeds. Here is my birthday wish list...

Troy - minimum of semis finishing at least 3rd.
Reece - AA coming from the 16 seed
Tagen - Semis
Carter - AA coming from the 16 seed
Fish - surprise finalist or a huge backside run with tons of bonus
Amine - Semis
DJ - Finals and shocks the world!
Plott - Finals and shocks the world!
Surber - see Fish
Wyatt - gets the 3 seed and sticks Kerk to face off with Gable.

I don't believe it is out of the question in any way. If DT can coach his guys at nationals anywhere close to what Cael can do, second is certainly in play. I liked what I saw at CKLV from the coaches. It was good practice for the coaches as well to get broken in at a large tournament. You don't want your first time at a large bracket tournament to be at nationals. Who is responsible for what. Who scouts ahead for competition, etc. Leave nothing to chance.

My true thoughts are 10 champs, but baby steps and all!

Penn state might have 8 champs this year
I predict 9 into the semis with 6-7 into the finals and 4-5 champs. We only have two solid favorites, with a lot of close matchups after that. That's my realistic take. Of course I'll take 8.

Who out of this is a possibility for OSU ? Do we have chance with Raney twins or Munaretto?

I think PSU takes Dom and Mocco. I think U of I get the twins.

But I fully admit that it wouldn’t surprise me for Iowa to pull Mocco and the twins

For what it’s worth the plane that was speculated to be Iowa’s that landed in Johnstown on Bo’s Commitment, left yesterday to go to Ft. Lauderdale (Home of the Moccos). Iowa is throwing the kitchen sink at him.

I feel good about Mocco. Cael is on him and has been for some time. I agree with Munaretto. He leans PSU. I would say the Raneys to Illinois but Iowa is buying guys these days so I am skittish about predicting the twins. I like the twins and see them as AAs but not necessarily as champs.

Iowa has a terrible reputation for development of upperweights. Last Iowa champion above 157 was 15 years ago. Steve Mocco hasn't forgotten that. Maybe you can buy him but I don't think it helps his career.

Huge pick up for OK State today getting Jax to Stillwater. Jax, Ross, Wolbert is a great start. Does OK State have a shot at Adam Waters?

I’m not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed about Bo last night. My hat was tipped to Iowa though, I just didn’t want to verbalize it. I am VERY excited about our recruiting, and thanks for the props

What I don’t understand why the talking heads are only talking about Bo and Jax. I know they are the topic du jour, but Ross is 3rd in P for P, they mention him, but talk only passingly about the impressive hall of both Jax and Ross. I maybe looking through orange colored glasses though

You’re not wrong in that it shouldn’t be this way. But the brand Bo has built for himself is unprecedented and takes up a lot of oxygen with Flo and everyone and shouldn’t really be surprising. Like it or not.

I agree!

Ross has some unknowns and I’d prefer to discuss those. Football status, weight discussion, summer schedule, etc.!

But honestly, he’s as intriguing of a prospect as one can be. HUGE frame! He can be a big heavy and move like a middle-weight. He’s not polished technique wise and is still dominant. Imagine what the staff does with him?! I’m excited about him!

Also, it was hard for Hendrickson to accept this commitment. Wyatt, who fears no man has expressed some boogieman thoughts about Ross…

Hoping those two being in a room together creates something special.
