USC is bold. No big deal.

3 in top 7 is good for B1G.
4 in 11.

SIAP:

How many SEC teams do you think will get in the CFP?

Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Ole Miss to start. Tennessee and Missouri both have very real chances as well. The ACC and Big 12 only look to get one each as well as Memphis/Boise State.

Five minimum and possibly six depending on how the Big Ten shakes out. Michigan getting swamped in their own house by Texas was NOT good for the league as a whole. Oregon looking average isn’t helping either.

Before anybody gets too enamored with Nebraska, keep in mind they beat a bad Colorado team that has been hyped way too much. The Buffaloes have 2 good players. Their D is mediocre at best and their OL is dogsh^t. Despite Deion poaching nearly 50 new players from programs all over the country, they still appear to not have any depth.

Yeah, Tom Osborne ran a slimey program but got away with it because he played the Aww shucks, Good ole boy card well.

I lost all respect for them after I got older and started reading about everything that he did and got away with.

I know I know, people say the same about us. But I don’t get into that.

In the long run I think Matt Rhule will make them a pretty good team, as he usually does.

Matt has done a tremendous job of resurrecting downtrodden programs into winning programs. However, we have no idea if he can coach teams to the next level. TBD.

So far if we use Herbie's "eye test" it's the top three on the list at a whole different level, then the rest of the poll way below those top three. Be interesting to take this poll and do a side by side comparison of NIL monies to see if the more money makes for the better team in the rankings.

True, but he is hard not to root for.

And the B1G got a helluva lot tougher in the past couple years. Gone are the days of a B1G West cakewalk to a championship game like when Rhule took the job.

9-4 seasons at Nebraska will be good like at Iowa.
