Definitely a long shot but Beamer has been known to pull one of these off each year. The trap game theory also plays into this potential upset. The secondary can't continue to lose receivers in coverage and watch for that wheel route they are sure to run given the film from past games.

South Carolina over Florida

This is a big of a long-shot, but I think I’m buying at the bottom of the market on South Carolina. Florida, of course, isn’t exactly riding high after a blowout loss to Mizzou, but the Gators could still fall a bit further. If South Carolina’s coaching staff hasn’t lost the locker room, the Gamecocks are built to give UF some trouble. They have an elite pass rusher in Dylan Stewart (if he plays, suspension status is TBA) and their rushing defense is in the top 40 in yards per carry allowed so far this season. Florida also has a meeting with No. 1 Texas on deck followed by the annual rivalry game against Georgia on Halloween. If South Carolina gets up for this game, Florida could get caught napping.

Edit: Definitely a long shot but Beamer has been known to pull one of these off now and then and get close frequently.

You guys are some hurting puppies; my heart goes out to ya.

I honestly don't get why many of you continue to publicly 'follow' the program.

I would think losing last week to Missouri will make it harder to catch UF napping, not easier.

I'd take an upset alert over UGA before the gayturds. These boys are just coming off a loss and they'll be ready, we always play the puppies better. This week may get ugly.

Most teams not named South Carolina, take a loss, and immediately following said loss, clean up exposed weaknesses, and further fortify strengths in order to avoid repeating a loss. UF will be focused and ready. I expect an Alabama-type whipping.

USC took the coverage weaknesses exposed in the Towson game and refined them into the Cover None D.

Who says they aren't making progress? (y)

Thats not true for 2021. Florida (-17.5), Auburn (-7.5), & the bowl game against UNC (-11) were upsets if you go by point spread.

UF was 4-5 when we played them and finished 6-7. Auburn was 6-5, but in the midst of 4-game losing streak to end the season and ended up 6-7.

Neither team was that good. I'm not sure either one is a signature upset.

I wouldn't label them as "signatures", but for what we were that year, and coming off what we were the year before, those were certainly upsets at the time. No, they weren't good teams, but up to that point, we were pretty miserable.

For what it's worth, we don't know how this Florida team's season will turn out. If we somehow manage to beat them on Saturday, they will likely lose 4 games in a row and go on to have a pretty bad season.

I really don't care for UF, so I hope your scenario plays out.

UF is more likely to fix all of their problems from last week against us and also set some kind of offensive record.
