I'm impressed and amazed that the USOC was able to build an Olympic sized pool inside of Lucas Field.

It just proves that if Nelli wants a new Natatorium, she can temporarily erect one inside Bryce Jordan.

Uh, no. And why go to the expense of building a temporary pool?

Our friend and neighbor’s son qualified for the Olympics in February and swam yesterday in the 1500m and set a personal best. Ivan Puskovitch, WVU. Ivan previously attended USC and transferred this past year to WVU. He was born and raised in early years in Scranton and moved to West Chester with his brother, Vlad, and mom.


  • Qualified for the marathon swimming event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games after placing 14th in the men's 10 km (1:48:54.40) event at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar
  • Became the fifth American male in history to qualify for the Olympics in open water swimming since the event was added to the Olympics in 2008
  • Puskovitch is the first male from the West Virginia University swimming and diving program to qualify for the Olympics
  • He will also be the first Mountaineer to represent the U.S. in swimming at the Olympics
  • Qualified for the 2024 World Aquatics Championships with his performance at the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup
  • Finished higher than any other American male, placing 24th in the men's 10k race (1:45:40.50) at the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup in Funchal, Portugal, on Dec. 2, 2023
