It's always tough to stay enthralled with women's sports since your above-average high school male equivalent would dominate their professional athlete female counterparts.

Agree ... someone will come along and claim "women are equal to men" ... I'll be damn if a man can do anything we can't!!! Well alright, that's why about 2 women can dunk in the WNBA and probably every single NBA player can dunk ... female sports are just boring to me.

Not interested much in soccer at all for me, but, I'm very proud of the women's team and our country for winning the World Cup. Highest honor you can achieve in the game no matter if it's women or men.

There is no way the above-average high school male equivalent would dominate at the World Cup level.

I agree that women's basketball is just awful, but there are some of their other sports that I prefer to watch over the men.

^^^This.

Plus, I don't really care what it is... it could be the U.S. turtle-racing team (male or female squad) and if I hear that they are in the finals of something, I'm going to root for them.

If that makes me a 'Murica type, so be it.

Lloyd going all video game mode to open the game up was about an impressive thing you will see in any sport.

26.7 million viewers last night. This is more than Cavs-Warriors game 6, which was the highest NBA game watched since Jordan.

It's very unfortunate that our US Men's team for basketball is SO dominant, that no one cares to watch. Or maybe it's the lack of global competition at this point. But comparing a sport with 300 million "fans" at the global stage should always beat a sport that simply has two cities with rooting interest.
