Ben needs to figure out these situations when there's just one guy killing us. Something has to be done defensively to stop it. That guy single handedly got them back in the game. It's like how Purdue's PG saved the day.

But I'm just glad we beat those So Cal douche bags.
Felt like combs stayed on too long. But 2x we let them roll it up and he scores with a foul. 3 and 4 sec possessions. You need to have guy guarding inbounder come up so he has to pick it up and not roll past half court. Then Howard went on him but when he doubled on the 26 yr old guy I was like can’t do that with the hot hand no matter what he was shooting for 3 coming in and just made 1 earlier. The late foul cam had under a min was bone headed too on him

This is why we invited the west coast teams into the Big. 😈

To beat Wisconsin and lose to Iowa.

That was a psychological effect on Eastern, because they were down big most of the second half, so he had it in his brain to foul late.

Big learning moment for the freshman & thrilled it favored the good guys.

Koch needs his balls to drop. He has a wide open 3 with 7 seconds left on the shot clock with just over a minute to go up 3 and he hesistates, pump fakes the defender closing by, and then takes a dribble and passes backwards to Fulguerias.

A win is a win is a win, but how did it end that way!!??!!??

Hawks were up 18 about halfway through the 2nd half, Carver was electric, and yet needed God's grace to make Woods last shot come up short.

I need a cigarette.
Their under 8 minute offense is straight trash.

Part of that is fatigue setting in from playing defense the way they do. Part of that is their reliance on Stirtz offensively, and our lack of size, which allows teams to pack things in and make us close games out by hitting 3s.

We built our lead knocking down some 3s, but we couldn't close the game out that way.

And then when officials decide to make the 2nd half shift to calling the games tighter, because THAT'S JUST WHAT THEY DO YA KNOW...........🙃🙃🙃.............Iowa's aggressive defense gets punished and we're forced to have to play back a bit more, and allow an already desperate team more space to attack and scramble to get back in games.

I trust that Ben will figure it out.......but he does need to figure it out.

Combs to afraid to foul even though he had 4 inches on Woods

I think McCollum will make them learn from this but it was a terrible start and absolute joke of a finish and a luck out win.
The layoff was definitely a thing, but also USC is one of those teams you don't realize how tough they are to beat until you play them.

They got Wisconsin, and we were fortunate enough to survive.

Can I give a little shout out to Hausen?

Yeah, he missed his two long contested 3 chances, but that little dude showed some actual effort and zip on the D end in the minutes he had in the 1st half.

Hope that can get him some more minutes moving forward.

He isn't gonna miss all his looks from distance.

Agreed, I’m sure he will learn from it…part of it might also be lack of upper tier guard talent for now….BS definitely needs help….Dix would have made a nice combo, but alas…😕

Looks like his confidence has dropped some but that pump fake was fine but you gotta drive that to the rim or pull up for a short jumper with shot clock where it was. He did last thing you want to do pass it back to AF.
I actually thought he may have traveled….again. 😕

He was pretty brutal tonight. Not giving up on him, but probably needs to come off the bench.

Can't pass up that late 3 with the shot clock running out
I wish BH had half his leash. At least a opportunity,. And yes I know he was 0-2.

You know, other than Woods going completely stupid out of his mind, Iowa did more than enough defensively to win tonight.

Woods plays more to his normal average tonight and Iowa wins by 20+.

One guy almost single-handedly beat the Hawks after they were up 17 mid-way through the 2nd half.

Sometimes you just gotta tip your hat to an opposing player and be very thankful your team survived a tremendous scare.
