And to think OSU’s top two receivers opted out! Yikes! The QB for Utah is in serious trouble as he went into posturing when he hit his head. Definite concussion or possibly worse. Not good.

Yeah. That looked pretty ugly. Glad he at least walked off then. I was worried when he didn't move his legs or arms.

Apparently neither team believes in defense. Now 45-38 OSU with 4 min to go.

Saw this stat 1-2 TDs ago. Basically the last 3 non Covid years OSU has had 3 historic QB seasons in conference history. I'm getting a little tired of this, surely they'll miss on a QB eventually right?. As a Chicago Bears fan it feels like watching the Packers move from one HOF QB in Favre to another in Rodgers.

Most TD passes in single season by B1G QB, all-time:
50 - Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State (2018)
41 - C.J. Stroud, Ohio State (2021)
41 - Justin Fields, Ohio State (2019)
39 - Drew Brees, Purdue (1998)

Herbie may be an annoying OSU homer, but knowing those things actually makes him a good announcer.

He doesn't know that stuff because of his announcing skills though. What kind of details have we gotten about Utah?

He keeps reciting the one CB was committed to OSU. And that's it.

Whatever Day said at half time must have worked. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant, he looked pissed in his half time interview. OSU D looking much better second half.

Utah secondary is B-A-D.
Stroud is dropping dimes into windows that most QB's only dream about. Most here believe our secondary is (was with Brisker included) the strength of the 2021 PSU defense, but I don't believe they would have done any better than the Utes are doing tonight.

How many of the TD's that Stroud has thrown tonight would Clifford have overthrown by 5 yards? At least half of them, but probably more.

And the young oh-high-ya WR's have shown up big tonight. I'm afraid oh-high-ya will put up 50 on PSU next season.....

I gave up on Utah after their QB was hurt but dang, this is a fun game. Hopefully the Utes' defense can hold on for 1:54 and get to OT. Or better yet, snag a turnover.

You're right there. He's not bad doing other games but terrible doing OSU. And I'll put the "not bad" as a fairly low bar. Announcing teams overall seem to be awful the last few years.

And Stroud is facing little pressure from Utah’s DL. He has all day to find #11.

One thing is for sure, Ohio State has lost a step since the UM era, especially on defense. One or two more years of Ryan Day and they’re a very beatable team.

Michigan was extremely lucky this year to escape some games. I think it is still Ohio State as the main dogs in the east irregardless of Michigan making the CFP.

But they are still way ahead of the rest of the Big Ten sadly. Their offense is going to be really good next season.
I agree in part, but not completely. Next season I see them running into two or three teams with shutdown defenses which may result in losses. If my prediction comes to fruition, their fan base, donors and alumni will be rabid demanding a HC change.

Not sure what Whittingham was thinking.

Kind of like Day taking his time out with 12 seconds on the clock. Confusing.
It seems the clock actually ran down to 12 seconds. I thought after the run on first down that oh-high-ya would get to the line quickly and run another running play and likely score the TD, and if they didn't then call the TO.

I'm usually sad when oh-high-ya wins, but PSU looking so unprepared, Clifford throwing like a freshman and then knowing he will be back to overthrow 2/3rds of the open deep receivers next season, got me rooting for someone (i.e. some team) to uphold the B10 as a legit conference. To do otherwise would be to root the rest of the conference down so that a sorry PSU team could win more games, which doesn't make sense to me. PSU has to somehow up the standard of game day play, and from what I've seen this season that is going to require more consistent high level recruiting of players that are ready to play at a B10 championship level as true or redshirt freshmen. We see that from oh-high-ya consistently, and we rarely have seen it so far from Franklin's teams. And we sure didn't see that today from PSU, somewhat possibly as a result of Franklin's misguided (I believe) focus on redshirting all his freshmen. Get the best players on the field. Period. And if today's PSU players that were on the field were the best players we are in for a long 2022 season.....

There was definitely less than 40 seconds left on the clock when Henderson got tackled. I thought it was 27-29. In the scheme of things it didn't matter, but it was a head scratcher when you could have bled more clock.

We don't need osu winning more. It doesn't help us in the slightest.

Didn’t Penn State play OSU this year? Clearly, Penn State’s defense did better than Utah. Stroud is a very good QB, but it sure is a lot easier to go through your progressions and throw more accurately when you have all day to throw. He could have ordered a coke and ham sandwich before deciding which receiver to throw to on a number of plays tonight
