It will be great to see what Anthony Collica can do against guys that weigh the same as him. I would assume that 70 kg is probably a good off season weight for him. I thought Tristan Moran was a little smaller than 70 Kg.
Hope Austin Schafer is back to form and it will be good to see what Weigel can do.

54 kg cadets is going to be great. Fix, Lee and Gomez, plus Olivas has put on weight and will join them. I was surprised to see Gfeller at 58, I always thought he was smaller than Fix.
Someone from Stillwater or anyone who knows please clarify Tristan Moran's name as both on the OSU release and on the tournament listings he is shown as Dalton Moran. I had never heard him referred to by this name before. Not earthshaking but just curious.

Dalton is an older relative (brother?) of Tristan's. He has wrestled at South Dakota St. I hadn't heard about a transfer if he has.
Proud, he is listed on the Oklahoma team both from the tournament site and in Zack Esposito's news release. Perhaps he has transferred-just had never heard of him before.
He was listed on the South Dakota State wrestling roster in 2014 as a redshirt/freshman and had a 14-12 record in open tournaments. I am guessing he has moved to Stillwater to be with his family. He is listed on the South Dakota State roster as a 149 pounder.

Daton Fix wins his second match by tf 10-0 over Gamble of Mo. Rhett Golowenski has a 10-0 tf and Mason Naifeh has a 4-3 win over Percelay of NJ.
Kaden Gfeller dec. Vondermerwe 6-2 at 58kg. Gfeller has grown considerably in the last few months.
Collica scores a 15-4 tech fall after giving up the first takedown to Sahid Kargbo.
At 97kg Austin Schafer wins by tf 11-0 over Regis Durbin Chicago RTC and Preston Weigel wins by 10-0 tf over Jermel Lewis of Lion wrestling.
At 97 kg both Weigel and Schafer win big. Weigel 13-4 over Kasunic and Schafer 10-0 tf over Michael Thomas. Anthony Collica wins by TF over Andrew Morse 16-5.

Daton Fix has his 4th straight 10-0tf in first period over Ian Parker and will face Max Murin of Pa. who defeated #2 seed Paul Konrath 1-1 criteria dec. Spencer Lee in the other semi at 54kg will face Gomez who defeated Cade Olivas 4-4 criteria dec.
Preston Weigel has a 10-0 tech fall over Benjamin and Austin Schafer has a 14-4 tf over Dasilveira. Both are in the quarter finals.
Golowenski is in the finals at 46kg after dec.Aguilar 7-2 and will face Dylan D'Emilio.
Daton Fix had a 6th 10-0 tf in 21 seconds of the first period and will face Spencer Lee in the finals tomorrow as Lee had a fall over Gomez.

Anthony Collica dec. John Boyle 4-3 and is in the semis in the University division.Boyle had defeated Sueflohn of Nebraska to get to the quarters. I will be out of action and unable to report on the rest of the quarters including our two wrestlers. I can report that Val Park received a forfeit in his 2nd round consolation match at 42kg and is still in the tournament. Kaden Gfeller is in the consolations although Jaryn Curry and Dakota Carnes are out. As of the start of today's action Bennett Moudy was still in consolations but I believe he suffered his second loss. Mason Naifeh was still alive in consos.
Sooner Notes:Ryan Milhof lost in consolations this morning and is out.BrockWingbemuehle who lost his first round match came back with three straight technical falls and was still in when wrestling started this morning.
