Think this is best for both sides. It’ll be interesting if he goes to a power conference school or tries to take a step down.

I wish VJ well. I pulled super hard for him this year. It’s probably best for both parties. I really question what program will be best for him. His deficiencies are glaring and IMO don’t bode well for success at the collegiate level.

I would like to know what type of system (in high school) he played in. He really struggles without the ball in his hands, almost like he never played any three on three, or two on two. He also is very uncomfortable shooting off the catch, preferring the rhythm of shooting off the dribble.

I would think an OVC type school that runs dribble drive would be his best bet. I hope he finds a good fit somewhere!

I don’t think he has to settle for “stepping down”. Just needs to find a coach who gives him an opportunity and believes in him. By getting another chance somewhere else, hopefully he understands his role whatever that might be.

It's probably all about finding consistent minutes. The guy is capable of putting up 8 PPG + for a good team or maybe even more for a team lacking scoring. Will be interesting to see where he ends up, and how he ends up doing when he gets to wherever he's going.

Are you implying that the three coaches he had here didn’t believe in him?

Ask a question, get an answer. Obviously the coach who recruited him believed in him. Not sure about DP, but he played him a lot whether he felt he was obligated or not. The 3rd guy gave him opportunities but whatever the reason, things usually got worse. Even if Nwora came back, which I doubt, Mack would have played his freshmen. Time for a change in scenery.
