He's been retired from football for the last 2 years because he was so injury plagued, and before that only played in 2 games as a back-up offensive linemen at Utah. I'm not sure why we used a scholarship on him.

Seeing as he's been out for two years, maybe they are just getting letting him get reacclimated, does he have a redshirt year to burn?

When new coach comes in who needs to turn over the roster, has scholarships to give and limited time to fully evaluate, sometimes you take a flyer on a couple of them. If it works out, great. If not, you move on.

he looked like he could be a protoypical nose tackle. Turned out we had better guys there than Frost thought.
