Noah is a tough dude and a leader. He can run the ball well (not great, not elite).

but let’s be real. He is a real hamstring for the offense. The arm strength is really not sufficient at all and even the accuracy is pretty poor beyond 5 yards from the LOS

It should be Noah and Wimsatt from here on out.
I think that is what it will be with Noah being the recognized starter and heart of the offense, while Gavin will be getting some snaps, but being brought along slowly while being groomed to be next years stater.

Don't want to burn the shirt. 2 more games max and done.
This and I really don't want him to take hits this year. Let him have at least one year to build up his body so he does not turn into another Tylin Oden.

Vedral showed ONIONS today, great performance. Snyder or Simon play over Gavin if there is an injury IMO. Preserve the redshirt and don't get Wimsatt hurt with questionable OL play. But he should be ready to take over next season.

Great game for Noah. Kid is a gamer and as I said in the thread last week we need to run the ball. I knew we had a good chance early when we were getting 5 yards on first down instead of 1 or 0. Props to the whole team today. Great team win. Bunch of Big 10 caliber players out there today.

Tough day for the vedral haters. I’m still stunned that Kratch thought snyders body of work, which consisted of the spring game and garbage time screen passes, showed he deserved the starting nod.
There's a reason he's a sportswriter and not a coach. Snyder may eventually be a good QB (and possibly not here, as guys want playing time and I think he's unlikely to get much after this year), but he's clearly not as poised or as effective as Vedral, even though he might have a bigger arm - "bigger arms" are hugely overrated.

I've been defending Noah all year, saying he's not great, but not horrible (like so many have said) and am very happy to see him have a really strong game (not perfect, but strong and what incredible toughness and leadership he showed). It also helps to have an OL play much better than it has the past few games and for us to run for 230 yards.

Yeah, they're pretty damn quiet right now!

Hope they've got good recipes for their crow.
Seriously? No one ever said the kid wasn’t tough or a gamer, but eat crow for saying he’s not a good quarterback??? He’s not, I appreciate his effort but he’s not a good quarterback, he’s just the best we have right now. But one pass from Gavin has me more excited than what Noah did all game.

He looked he was in serious pain a couple of times, but still had the conjones to run the ball at crucial times to pick up a rushing TD and game winning first down. I'm raising a glass in his honor tonight!

No, the people who were saying he shouldn't start are the ones I think should be eating crow.

“Let’s be real” he showed why he’s QB1 today.

100% agree . And I was NEVER in the camp that we had any other QB on the roster that was even close. Even Gavin (at any point except maybe the last 2 games of the season I think he could be used)

Verdal is far and away our best option on the team.

But he had amazing protection today and still failed to push the ball down the field effectively. Exceptions of the TE wide open middle of the field, and the Langan catch (which was an incredible effort on Johnny's part)
