I hadn't noticed until looking at Wrestlestat that Verk lost his last 6 matches of the year to finish 16-10. Does anyone know if he was dealing with an injury or anything like that?

Verk is a warrior and has overcome being a diabetic while wrestling. Unbelievable. So much respect for him. All the best in his future endeavors. Class kid!

Looking at his final six matches/losses... wouldn't have expected the two losses to to Sherman from UNC (8-9 #32 seed) but his other losses were to solid guys. #2 seed Wilson, #14 seed Finesilver (2x) and #11 Andonian.

Wrestling is tough.
