On a happier note (compared to men's BB) there is a nice article about Veronica Burton in today's Chicago Tribune
Thanks Cappy, but you need to be a subscriber to read this. Can you summarize it?Which can be found here: https://www.chicagotribune.com/spor...0220302-vi67m66tzjexjffs57lur6rx4m-story.html
Basically:
She caught coach's eye in her first start, he knew she would be special. Wants to be remembered more for character, attitude and effort than individual accomplishments. Led NU in assists all 4 years, scoring last 2, 3-time Defensive POY, 2-time All-BIG 1st team. Only Ashley Deary has more career steals. Despite all individual accolades, never been arrogant or complacent. Always humble, encouraging, makes everyone around her want to be great, brings energy and leadership every day. Talks about her family history, how they taught her that she always needs to keep improving to be great. Snubbed by top-25 player list in Jan, but brushed it off, cares more about her teammates, coaches and community having her back. Appearing in mock WNBA drafts, some as a 1st round pick. She never expected to play professionally, has always had underdog mentality, now knows

I have only watched a couple of games but I believe we always play a matchup zone. It has to be a team effort of awareness and not losing ClarkVeronica is a joy to watch. She has a chance to get more national notice if she can slow down Caitlin Clark this evening.
I think it's more of a man-to-man with a lot of switching, but maybe that's a distinction without a real difference. Still, I think VB will be paying a lot of attention to Clark.I have only watched a couple of games but I believe we always play a matchup zone.
