Fab off Ben White. Got laid off in 2002. Intel just held a monopoly in the chip industry and it used to piss us AMDers off that Dell didn't use our chips... never will buy a Dell laptop.
Wow, sorry to hear. While working for Conexant (formerly Rockwell then NXP and finally Trident) I knew several folks who previously worked at Ben White facility. I remember seeing you at UK club functions, but never thought to ask.

You guys even do that anymore? pre covid.

Those were fun as were the SEC picnics.
Yes, last was 2019. It's all combined now at American Legion down by the river near Mopac. Amount of sponsors is mind-boggling. Everything is free. Event has grown to include several thousand folks.

Last picnic I attended it was still held at Zilker, moved from Austin 2011.
If I remember correctly, 2011 picnic at Zilker was the hot, hot one. Temps > 100°F the entire day. Beth Stevie and I helped Brian pack up. Just a miserable afternoon.

Beth, Brian, Kyle, Darrian, Dean, name escapes me of the lady who taught at Texas St. Are any of them still around? I used to get updates from Centex group.

Brian became SEC president during our first few events at American Legion. He's on Twitter. Beth attended a few events, initially as chapter president, but I've otherwise not seen her in a while. Darian hasn't posted on Facebook in years. All pretty much new folks. I'm like the last from the old crew.

Good ol' Perkman. His daughter has to be in HS by now, shame he got divorced. Thought his wife was a sweetie and they made a nice looking couple/family. Same with Darian and his family.

+1
Darien and his wife = awesome folks. Last I heard, he lived down in Houston. I've not spoken directly with Brian in perhaps 8 years or so.

If you have a chance, slide on over to the D-League and I'll try catching you up a little bit. New chapter presidents changed a couple times since you moved. I attended some watch parties a few years ago, but abruptly stopped because of fear I'd jinx the outcomes.

Damn I miss Austin...
Don't miss it that much. We'll be moving back to Texas in a few years, first grandbaby, but it'll be in DFW area as that's where Jr and fam moved to.
Heh, believe it or not, I've been looking hard lately at land up near Nolin Lake for summer cabins. One of my cousins has been advising me. I nearly pulled the trigger on several lots last year, but decided to hold off. Summers getting brutal here.

Lays tater chips
Campbell's chicken noodle soup
premium crackers
Purina Focus for my sheps
Used to be nothing but JC Penny undershorts and Tee's, now fruit of the loom boxers. As you get older the boys need more room
REAL bacon...eff that turkey crap

Premium crackers is a good one I’m not overly brand specific in most cases but this one is definite. Also, now that I’m thinking of it the Tostitos tortilla chips but thats bc they are really the only legit option at the grocery store.

Edit to add—been on a pretty solid Skechers kick for my work dress shoes. Comfy as hell but still business casual type look.
