Tetris, I got embarrassingly good at it on Tetris.com. At one point I had a top 10 score in the state of Kentucky in Tetris Ultra and top 20 score in Tetris Sprint. I haven't been on there in a few years though.

COD MW2 (Xbox 36) was my jam. Somewhat embarrassed to say now that I played pretty competitively for awhile (Gamebattles and other ladders).

Was pretty good at COD Black Ops.....

Then life happened and I stopped playing. Haven't even bought the last two iterations of the game.

Street Fighter II. I've had a handful of guys through college and after say "Oh, no, man. You haven't played me yet, etc, etc...."

Smoked them all.

Original Super Mario Kart I'm pretty nasty as well. I'm trash at anything made in the last 20 years unfortunately. Still dust off the SNES from time to time though.

NBA 2K1

Mario Kart on the GameCube

I was good at other games, but those two I was straight up master nerd good. Me and my roomate could pretty much destroy anyone in NBA 2K1 in a two player vs two player game, problem was we were really good on the Sega Dreamcast version with the difficult to shoot freethrows.

There are many. Most games I would only rek you on. Other games.....demoralization occurs, receiver of beating seriously contemplates suicide.

For instance....Halo, any iteration. Any. I wish a bish would try me.

Also, but not limited to...
Hydro Thunder - Dreamcast
NBA 2K - Dreamcast
COD MW2 / MW3 / Ghosts / Advanced Warfare
Bases Loaded II - NES
Double Dare - NES
Hot Shots Golf 3 - PS2
Mario Kart - Wii

Also, I'm not sure how you destroy anyone in Sonic, unless you're a speed run nerd. Which I am. So I would. Not really.

Robotron is a very difficult game to master. I've never been able to get past the 7th or 8th screen. You must be good at Zaxxon as well.
I could play that game with one quarter for over 8 hours and hand the game to the kids with over 100 free credits.

Me and my Brother were embarrassingly good at Halo 2 this map particularly until they did away with it. Nothing else was quite the same. We even entered 2v2 tournaments and got some good paydays. We won like 3 tournaments in Raleigh. I got pretty good at MW2 but still, nothing touched this game.

I still long for the days of BXR and no scopes from across the maps. May it RIP

Speed runs are fascinating to me, I can't lie. Requires a **** ton of dedication and there is FIERCE competition out there.

Twitch is a great place to lose an hour or so and they have channels specifically geared towards speed runs.

Lockout was remade (under alternate names) for Halo 3 and 4. I would bet it will be added to Halo 5 eventually.
Yea. I never could get into the new halos. Mainly because I stopped playing it after i went to college and worked. Graduated now and getting married. What better time to pick it back up

NFL2K on Dreamcast.

My college roommate took a shine to my ol' Dreamcast - which I hadn't touched in years.

I warned him that I was pretty good at NFL2K (w/Eddie George).

My roommate was/is very competitive and practiced for a good long while until he finally challenged me.

I skunked him, bad. And I know I ended the game with a defensive touchdown as time expired. It may have even been a blocked field goal return.

He slammed the controller, stormed out, and didn't talk to me for a day. We had two classes together, so it was quite a feat.

I started playing hand held video games before the Atari console and have a ps4 today although I don't play as much anymore . But the Socom series that started on PS2 was my all time favorite and I was in the upper echelon of online players for that game . They don't even make it anymore because noobs won't but it , they need to get a power up for a turret that will kill for them because they can't aim a gun . You had to be able to aim to be good at Socom , noobs flocked to call of duty .

+ Fight Night 3
+ Super Smash Brothers
+ Any Battlefield Game
+ Tony Hawks Pro Skater (mainly the 1st one)
+ Team Fortress

- Any new Smash Brothers game
- Halo
- COD (#4 till whatever garbage is out now)
- Mario Kart

I'd say Super Smash Brothers is a game that I'd come closest to having made money at (if there was a tournament for it). I've logged so many hours as a kid, teen, and even adult mastering that game with others for hours on end. I mean, you get 1 or 2 people on your level, and the game turns into The Matrix. Every is just dodging for the entire time, and the second you land ANYTHING, it's game over.

God, I wish I put that time into something important.

@ThroughBlue Ohhh sheeeeit.

Glad to see other BF players. And those particularly, 3 and 4, were my peak games. Once you figure out the weapons and the game itself, you turn into John Rambo just taking down an entire opposing army.
