Feel like Wisconsin wanted to drop him and were looking for any reason to pull the trigger.

If it is universally accepted that, "... the bottom line ... until the letter of intent is signed ... things can change," why do HS football media platforms (such as this one included, with all due respect) continue to hype these early verbal commitments with recruiting news as the centerpiece of the forums?

This is all it was but at least Wisconsin did it early on rather then a month before signing day.

This style of recruiting has been going on for years in the SEC, now it's starting to make its way into the Big Ten with the Bryant and Swenson kids, it may be bad PR for individual schools but overall I think it will help the Big Ten in the long term.

MONEY, its not specifically an Edgy thing because he does it differently, but overall these guys have found a little piece of the American dream and if they were fortunate enough to own the Oklahoma, Alabama, FSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Florida, Georgia, USC, etc boards of the world they got even more than a little piece!

Edgy great post in general on the process of recruiting. This is a 2 way street kids decommit and offers get pulled. They both happen for a reason and more frequent that anyone knows.
