Not full tard, "Agreements will remain with West Virginia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah." Partial tard.

When I first read the story I was worried WV was on the list. Still blows my mine. I know a lot of guys that drive up from states that actually have stricter licensing laws than WV, and those poor guys are screwed.

My inlaws own a gun and pawn shop in WV so I get all of my stuff at cost. I have to maintain a WV license to I can purchase pistols there because it's illegal for MD residents to purchase pistols from WV dealers.

I agree however I do think we need to do a better job of training and proficiency demonstrations before allowing a CCW. I'm lucky my DD214 suffices for my CCW requirements.

Oh, and I still can't carry in MD, absurd.
I know of law enforcement that can't carry in Maryland. Insane state. They actively seek out WV'ians with CCW's to bust them on traveling through the state.

The only people who carry in Md are the inner city law breakers.

It's time for a national reciprocity law be enacted by Congress, using the Gay Marriage ruling as a basis.
Marriage equality came about by Supreme Court decision, not Congress, and such a law would have to wait until Hell freezes over or the GOP has a veto-proof majority in both Houses and control of the White House -- whichever comes first. My money is on Hell freezing over first, but I fully expect this move to make its way to the Court.

2 ways it could happen. 1) GOP congress and President passing a law. 2) A challenge against a state's law, such as Maryland, refusing to acknowledge another state's license.

Gay marriage blew this one wide open for people seeking reciprocity with CCW. Opposition to either is ridiculous. An before the bible thumpers jump on me, I don't recognize marriage as being anything more than a legal contract recognized by the state. I do not consider it a promise before God yada yada yada.
