The missed Miami FG as time expired was a great opportunity for the Hurricane program to take a step up. Another example of the “tale of 2 halves”; UVA won the 1st half, and Miami won the 2nd half, despite missing the most important 3 points.

Why would UM go in the shell with over a minute, at the UVA 13, moving the ball at will, and rely on a Fr kicker?

They asked for, and deserved to lose.

I agree why did they stop marching down field instead they ran 3 plays just making sure they had the ball in the middle of the field. I felt really bad for the kicker though that will haunt him.

Just Playing the odds (surely the coaches know how likely their kicker is to hit that FG).
Sometimes you just roll snake eyes.

Makes Wake's victory over them look a lot better and our game with them look a lot tougher.
In what way? A missed chip shot FG kept Virginia from being 0 and 3 and they played a Miami team without its star QB.

I guess people just want WF to be some great team and I just don't see it.
