I'm replying to this one just in case it's another monumentally dumb game thread comment.
The players have ZERO confidence in their outside shooting right now.
I don't see how they regain that mid-game.
Run some set plays to get a good look at a 3, so the shooter KNOWS they are going to pull the trigger...?

Yep. If you invented a game where the actual goal was to miss as many 3-pointers as possible BUT the one rule is that for any shot to count as a miss, it has to come within at least 1 foot of the rim.....by sheer luck (or lack thereof in this example) they'd make more than 2.

The only thing worse than Iowa's play in the 1st half has been Virginia's play to open the 2nd half. Why are they not going at AH and getting her another cheap foul? The look more lost than Iowa did on offense in the 1st half.
D has been phenomenal. Maybe protecting Ava and HS with zone gave them freedom to play like maniacs on D in 2nd half.
She got a rebound and then threw it out of bounds at half court. Fell down on defense and Virgina got a good look. Then got lost on defense and had to foul, so yes. Then got a great rebound and put back.
I'll defend her. The Iowa team is young and has some glaring weaknesses. They outperformed expectations in the regular season and BTT and now people (you) are freaking out that they aren't meeting the adjusted higher expectations.Where's the JJ defenders today...
