For those who went to Providence Celtics football games, Ken Morrisette, the P.A.announcer, passed away last Saturday. I don't know how many years he held that spot but it was a lot. The first thing I thought as I saw his obituary was the saying he had during games, in that Providence was "home of the best popcorn in the Cathoilc League." And as I read the obit, sure as heck that is in there.

I knew Ken going back to the early 80s when he umped softball games. I think a lot of players didn't like him too well. But, I got a chance to ump with him for a few summers and saw a different side of him. In reality, he was a good guy and he will be missed.
