We came close to dropping that second set to Oregon. Coach pulled out all the stops to try and save it, wisely. Hopefully we will get by Illinois, after that anything can happen. You are right though, BYU may well be in the final, they were rolling.

Nobody there wants to play Nebraska. Say what you want about the other three teams but as good as they all may be playing, Neb is not what they want or wanted.

Did you watch their total domination of Texas without their best player? Winking
They were as good a team as I've seen this year. Minnesota would have been my odds on favorite. We struggled or they exposed us.

Can't wait until Thursday

The moneyline is all based on $100 increments. If you are '-', it means you are the favorite and have lay the price, if '+', you are the underdog and get the price. So, if you want to bet Nebraska, you need to lay $315 to win $100, a significant favorite. If you want to bet Illinois, you would win $235 for every $100 you bet if they win. I hope Nebraska rolls and definitely has the championship pedigree but I'm surprised Nebraska is this big of a favorite. To put it into perspective, Clemson is a 11.5 point favorite against Notre Dame and Clemson is about -420 on the money and ND is +340. Nebraska is about an 8 point favorite if this was a football game.

Thank you for the explanation. I knew the minus sign meant the favorite by the number of points that followed, but wasn't sure on money lines.

Going to miss Kenzie Maloney, Mikaela Foecke next year, has been fun watching them play. Also glad Brooke Smith came back.

I don't know much about volleyball, does pro indoor in Europe pay more than pro sand volleyball? I assume it is like comparing tennis to soccer. Pro sand you win prize money and sponsorship and Pro indoor you get paid a salary?

International and European leagues pay very well. Will be interesting to see what foeke decides to do. Veterinarian or VB.

I seriously doubt she does sand vb

Me too, considering they beat us 3-1 at our place.

I watched the entirety of both matches vs Illinois and came away from each thinking we were the better team. In contrast, I thought Minnesota was the better team after we played them.

Our line tomorrow is the same as before. Stanford up to -185/+145

We're actually the favorite to win the thing because of our presumed easier match tomorrow even though we're still a slight dog straight up vs stanford.

Yeah, thanks for the explanation. I'm not into sports gambling and have always wondered what those things meant. As far as being surprised, yes, NU lost 3-1 at home. However, NU is the defending National champs. That means a lot. We've heard this for years from the top teams. The Patriots, the Warriors, the Crimson Tide, the Red Sox, etc. When it comes down to closing the deal it doesn't matter if the elite programs faltered at times during the season. Come playoffs they'll show that they know how to win. Something like that.
