I liked being able to vote early this year. It was kind of a pain going out to the Fairgrounds but there were no lines.

I wish they would have given me something to attach to my TV to stop the commercials since I already voted.

DVR. Skip all commercials. Sports is the only thing I watch live

I'm going to vote in November on the regular day if I am discharged by then. If not, I am trying to negotiate with hospital staff on whether I can still go vote, but I might have to wear a Hazmet suit (exaggeration? Maybe, but it won't be far off). I have expressed my strong desire to vote in person (never thought that this would drag out like this, but I'm still not close). I think voting early is a nice option, but I want to make sure that my vote counts. Can't wait for this election to be over.

Voted early by dropping off my ballot at Tates Creek Library, Ky SOS website shows it was received 2 days later. About as easy as it could be. My wife voted in person at same location yesterday and reported it was easy as pie. I am 100% in favor of this in the future.

If you are planning on voting in person you may want to bring a pen with you. They have them there but have to throw them away after each use.

I voted absentee ballot in Lexington only because you can drop it off in one of the boxes instead of sending it through the mail. I will probably drop it off at Tates Creek library today. My sister voted at Wellington Elementary school yesterday and did not have to wait.

Same, but I voted by mail in May, and same as this time, SOS website showed it was received in just a few days.

Beyond the obvious races, I am wondering if Marsy's law will pass. My wife and I voted exactly the same on all the races except this one.

Hand delivered our ballots to the elections office this AM. They were checked and stamped, and put into the office box.

Dropped mine off Monday. Agree with OP that I should be able to opt out of any remaining ads.

I requested my ballot 9/29, as did my wife. The KY website says they were mailed 10/1. She got hers a couple days later but mine never arrived. Fortunately the tracking website still says they haven't received it back, so I'm hoping it's in a dumpster somewhere rather than in the hands of someone who will vote in my place. According to the county clerk, as of this year they are no longer allowed to cancel and re-issue ballots. Allegedly I'm allowed to vote in person if I don't get my ballot by 10/28, but I have little hope that this will go smoothly. Mail delivery here in Warren County outside of the BG city limits is an abject disaster (I get more of my neighbors' mail than my own) so in hindsight I never should have requested a ballot in the first place.

I'm voting in person on election day at the same place I have for years. They will check my ID, verify I'm registered, give be a ballot, and direct me to a private booth to vote. I'll then slip my completed ballot into a lock-box.

Looking forward to it this year more than ever. Will see if my country still has an optimistic future after this one.

Well, looks like I'm gonna be stuck with one choice. I had a relative take my ballot to the voting place as I will not be able to vote in person; this will be the only election that I will not go to the voting polls to vote. The most important presidential election, and I can't vote in person. Terrible. Doc wants to do a very major surgery on Tuesday, and there is no way; I might not even be lucid by election day. Maybe I'll get out by Christmas at this rate. Terrible. Well, it is what it is, but at least I did what I could with the options that I had. I get to watch the Cats destroy the ugly Orange tomorrow, so that's good news.......

The KY SOS website shows my ballot being received. Will it also show a cast ballot status after being counted? I never checked the status when I voted absentee in the primary.

So there's no machine to immediately count it? If not, how do you know it will ever get counted?

How do I know the machine I voted on in 2008, 2012 or 2016 counted my vote? Answer is, I don't for sure. You have to have some confidence and trust in the precinct officers and county clerks to have tested the machine and to report the totals accurately. This is no different. Why all of a sudden are we so suspicious that our votes won't be counted? Because Trump says so? Oh Puhlease . . .

Look at it this way, it’s a good way to meet the neighbors! That’s what we always say!

Fayette County clerk announced yesterday that way too few voters are voting in advance, and says there are going to be some LOOOONNNNGGGG lines on election day if the pace does not pick up. As easy as it is to vote, if your *** is stuck in a long line on Nov 3, that is solely on you, not on anyone else.

That's odd, here in Tennessee the lines for early voting have been off the charts - 3 bocks long the first day, and subsequent days at least 1.5 hour waits. In the past during early voting you might have to wait 15 minutes at the most. Kentucky and Tennessee are similar politically so you would think voter turnout would be similar as well.

It is possible hes just trying to encourage people to come early.

I don't want to hear a damn thing about anyone not being able to vote. Every damn ad explains you can vote now. Mailers arrive every other day reminding you you can mail it in. Polls are open. Anyone who wants to do it on the official day, I understand but there's zero traction for anyone to complain about disenfrachisment or not being able to or not knowing about voting. Zero.
