Ive tried so hard on other for forums so here it goes. Does anyone here use a VPN? and if you do which one? And even more importantly if you answer yes to the above questions would you send me an invite to your VPN? I desperately need it. If there are any kind souls out there I'd be eternally grateful.

Yes. Cisco AnyConnect.

I can show you where the client is downloaded.

I use two. Cisco AnyConnect and Secure Pulse. Take Austin's advice and go with AnyConnect. It's probably the most common and most reliable.
Windows offers its own native flavors (versions) of VPN client. Depending on the app and host, it also works well.

Glad OP started this thread, I'm in a bit of a quandary myself.

I am using IPVanish to surf in the www. When I am starting my internet-connection, the IP of my Provider (swisscom) is visible. e.g. IP-Address: 178.199.178.xxx

When starting the IPVanish tool and connecting to a specific server IPVanish-Server, the new IP (the Servers-IP) will be given and shown for me. e.g. 78.134.12.xxx So far so good. e.

Now I found out, that if I have connected via Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Cilent to a VPN-Server, the IP Adress of this VPN-Server (the Provider) is shown in the IPVanish tool. e.g. 145.23.45.xxx.

This IP is visible in the www. This is not nice but not the problem.

The question is: is it possible for the provider of the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Cilent Server to see my traffic in the www in the log files even if I have startet VPVanish?

Show me your ways. Also would these protect me while downloading things so big brother can't see? All the VPNs I've been trying to get into are by member invite only

You need an Apple ID to obtain the client I linked.

Can't speak for the encryption level. à vos risques et périls. Use at your own risk. Good luck.
